RGB on a cheepo CRT TV

With CRT TV's and monitors its all a bit hit and miss, but it is true that even some of the no name / lower end brands can hold their own against the more professional RGB monitors.
Many CRT TV's also offer decent service menus for adjusting screen position / convergence etc.

You need to enter the service menu on these TVs to manually adjust the values, and unfortunately the way to enter it varies between chassises.

For the Sony CRT's, with the TV in standby the combination is often:
(on screen display) -> 5 -> (volume +) -> (TV)
then MENU to get the service menu with all the adjustments.
