    Default Non WWE/F wrestling games

Want to see if someone remembers these games because usually non WWE/F wrestling games flew under the radar. I wont mention the Fire Pro series because everyone knows them and wont mentioned Jap only imports.

I dont remember this one at all. Im more familar with WCW Superbrawl for the SNES and unfortunately its not very good.

This is a 1994 SNES title. Dont remember it much either but doesnt look too bad.

Another 1994 SNES wrestler that got a US release but I guess wasnt popular due to WWF and WCW dominance.

You gotta get Def Jam Vendetta for PS2/Gamecube and Rumble Roses for PS2. 2 of the better non WWE wrestling games from the past 10 years. The Ultimate Muscle game for Gamecube isnt really a pure wrestler its some sort of weird hybrid wrestling/fighting game. Never played the PS2 version.

I remember the SNES WCW game, it's terrible sadly, but i think it's one of the only wrestling games over than WWE '13 to have Brian Pillman in.

The Fire Pro series is your best bet

As far as WCW titles go, most of them stink, especially that NES one you've got linked. I played that Natsume game a long time ago with some buddies. It was fun, but it wasn't great or anything. It's definitely better than a lot of the stinkers out there though. The last one you've got listed, I've never played before, but it looks all right.

The one WCW game that I thought was pretty good was WCW Mayhem for the PSX and N64. You could get into backstage brawls which was a lot of fun.

A great one that hasn't been mentioned is Saturday Night Slam Masters. It was originally an arcade that was ported to a bunch of systems including the Genesis and SNES. Here's a video which shows the different ports.

And last, but not least is the best wrestling title on the NES, Tecmo World Wrestling.

True dat, the good experience with them made me import Virtual Pro Wrestling 2.

Oh how I wish that one got a proper fan translation, A hard patch I mean. None of that external files to use with an emulator crap.

I think for a wrestling game Saturday Night Slam Masters gameplay is a bit shallow ? Works better as a fighting/wrestling hybrid game.

WCW NES and SNES are both terrible. So is WCW Mayhem. Some of these other games look cool. Might be worth checking out.

Saturday Night Slam Masters is good. It's a fun game, but I wouldn't call it a true wrestling game. Tecmo World Wrestling is the best wrestling game on the NES.

Nacho Libre (DS) was almost a real hidden gem. It has great style and music, but it suffers from one massive flaw in the gameplay...you can automatically trump any other action by initiating a hold (so it becomes a race to just grab each other...still playable, but not nearly as fun as it could've been). It really sucks that they didn't take the time to fix that one thing.

WCW/NWO Revenge was great when it was released, but Wrestlemania 2000 improved on it in every way, and No Mercy improved on it in every way.

NES WCW wasn't that bad. It had a unique system of being able to choose your characters move set.

At some point you almost have to start talking about the Japanese games to really open this discussion up.

For example, Natsume Championship Wrestling is a localized All Japan game. I believe the first in a series of about 3 games. Python in that video is clearly Stan Hansen, while Phantom is most likely Mitsuharu Misawa.

I love Revenge, but stopped playing when the Starrcade 64 mod was released for No Mercy
