Here's what I've made. I'm not very good at it, but I'm still pretty proud of them I guess lol

So is this a general purpose pixel art thread or what?

Not sure if I'm done with this one or if there's more to be added.

I used to make lots of pixel art back then but not much anymore.

I used to modificate Sonic Advance sprites and made up 100% new poses.

    http://www.spriters-resource.com/cus...c/sheet/18220/

That's the only sheet I know is done by me and isn't lost..

Edit: Found this by pure accident... it was in 1 place I never expect it to be. Was done for a friend, in 2004

Luckily found this from ooold place. 2004

Yeah.. all done 100% in pait, cause I had nothing else. I edited a post and added the Sonic Heroes sprites I did in 2004, by making Tails do new moves.

Yeah I usually work in MS Paint too when messing on a pixel level (only Vista version and down, Win7 paint went utter shit :P )

Yeah MSP didn't really change much from '95 and up to Vista.
But then Win7 happened, and it became a poor attempt at introducing stuff like waterpaint and whatnot

Only tried that version once when making some designs for a possible attempt at doing a Android version of Berzerk.

    PS: didn't go nowhere :P

Recently I have become more interested in the symbiosis between pixelart and lowpoly 3D models. There's just something really special with how the two mesh (derp) together and let the pixelated textures define the features on the model. There was that brief period in the 90's before 3D games turned into a blurry filtered mess where several games had this style but it felt more coincidental than anything. It's more in recent times that people have deliberately sought out this unique artstyle and iterated on it. Like that space game Notch was working on before it got canned.

I do love the look of games like Strider 2 and Grandia. 3D polygons with pixelated textures plus sprites go really well together.

I can totally recommend the work of Kenneth Fejer. He's pretty good at doing just that

And I'm guessing you've already stared blindly at Megaman Legends 1 and 2 (all fullbrighted pixel art+ lowpoly models)
