It's a bit more then that, it's like this.

Underage girl with the naked butt in the shower became.. 18 year old who's butt we do not see.

Snatcher chick with the green hair who's nipple we see, became.. Snatcher chick who's nipple we don't see.

Jean Jack Gibson with his decapitated head and bloody neck clearly visible, became.. Jean Jack with his body

All in all small censorship, nothing was really removed and it doesn't harm the game at all.

Nobody ever claimed Snatcher was anything else, I think the topic header is more referring to the gameplay mechanic then the style.
Personally I don't give a fuck if its Cyberpunk or Steampunk or fuckpunk, as long as its a good game with Snatcher/Phoenix Wright kinda gameplay.
