    Default Tokyo Bus Guide

I got a copy of Tokyo Bus Guide for the Dreamcast and I wonder why they didn't release it in the US. Like in train sims your life is taken off for everything you do wrong (like stopping too fast) but unlike train sims you have far more control (since you are driving a bus) thus far more gameplay.

Well, I dunno about other US gamers, but to me, there's nothing particularly appealing about playing a bus or train sim. So it never bothered me that they didn't release it in the US.

Aside from the occasional flight sim, I generally don't enjoy true-to-life sims at all. On the other hand, I love wackier ones like Harvest Moon (farming sim) and SimAnt (um...ant empire sim).

"One man in a lone spacecraft vs. an entire alien invasion force. You must save Earth/your home planet!"

"One man must follow driving rules and road signs to help make sure that his passengers arrive at their bus stop on time and safely."

Which one of these sounds more exciting?

A bus sim sounds interesting to me, but I know that any US release would collect dust in the bargain bin. Oh well, at least there's Crazy Taxi.

I have to admit something pretty nerdy here, too - in GTA: Vice City, if you park a bus at a bus stop, people will get on (if there's nobody around, people usually start showing up shortly and form a line), and you make $5 for each person that gets on the bus. One night, I planned out some bus routes around the city and spent a couple hours just driving around those routes in a bus, picking up people.

And oddly enough, even though you'll see people getting off other buses, people will never get off your bus. It's like they get sucked into a black hole or something.

There is Microsoft Train Simulation and you have far less control (trains run on tracks and singles are meant to separate trains) then with Tokyo Bus Guide. A down side is it is game over for going off course (I find it odd you lose less life rear ending a car then taking a wrong turn), I guess the developers wanted to hide invisible walls, also one time I was stopped at a red light in the wrong lane and my life went down constantly, I feel they should punish me once for something like that instead of keep taking life away since I'm still in the wrong lane (but can't move due to traffic).
