People hate even more getting new threads for old topics.
Kinda like this: "Hey, what's the best Genesis game? Mine is John Madden Football!"
"Sorry dude, we've already discussed this...

I guess it would be nice to have a poll on this subject.
aaaand since its not locked, I'd have to say Arcade or Platformers since both are very well represented on the genesis.

I'd have to say that shooters of any type were/are the main genre for me on the Genesis. There are a few multi platform games that I enjoy more on the SNES, most of them I prefer on the Genesis. One of my all time favorites (which I really need to buy when I order again this week) being Soldiers of Fortune (sorry can't remember the European name for it). I try to explain it to people that have never heard of it and they look at me like they're thinking, "What the hell is he on?" lol

I think the Mega Drive has the best helicopter war games ever! I think the Snes had them too but the Mega Drive was just better than the Snes lol.
Jungle Strike, Urban Strike and Desert Strike were sooo good! They don't make games like that anymoreSame with Streets Of Rage and Road Rash, those games in next-gen form would be superb.
Oh I don't f*cking know. Mahjong titles.
Things were different in Europe and Japan though. In Japan many strategy, RPG and SRPG games were released for the machine, and only a few FMV titles were localised. Europeans too were fortunate enough to receive only a handful of the FMV titles that were released in the US, but by the same token they were lumbered with a bunch of Amiga ports instead. And no Lunar!
i like the racing games outrun, street racer, even better was the road rash series
make sure and visit my album
For me, I consider platformers to be the best genre on the Genesis. 2-D platformers have always been my favorite, and the Genesis provides a hefty lot of good ones.
