Thoughts on the series? Kind of wish EA would let GOG release the original two games along with their respective expansion packs :/

Played the first one a bit, didn't really like it.. I found it rather lame.

My wife loves Sims games, Sims 2 and 3 on PC and when we got Wii Sims castaway we played for hours.

I gave it a chance. Thought it was boring. Wasnt my thing. When the series went to consoles it just didnt feel right.

I have The first Sims, it's pretty fun.
Sims 3 came in a humble bundle, still haven't tried it out yet. I want to create some historical figures and make them live in a house together, that'd be funny

well i liked it
mostly sims 2
3 cut out so much out of the base game its a regression to the first EA crippled it so they can flog expansion packs
so ill stick with 2Kitsune in a hat

I tried to get into the series, but I found them to be boring. The appeal quickly wore off on me.

Used to play this series back in the day to kill some time. I quite enjoyed the first, the second was good too and was a solid step forward. I even picked up 3 when it released, but it did feel stripped down and with no significant improvements over 2 at it's core. Lost interest. Not for everyone, but it's a decent and unique series.
