    Default GDC's Monetization Panels

While I'm very much aware of the contempt one Mr. Jim Sterling garners on the interwebs, the above video link is something that I feel must be brought up and discussed. At this past week's GDC, there were numerous panels devoted free-to-play monetization cash grabs, even one regarding how to properly snuff out backlash like with the Dungeon Keeper fiasco.

It's just sickening how much contempt the games industry has for us

Jim Sterling started out pretty crappy but has since redeemed himself and makes good videos, the contempt is no longer warranted.

Those two words I bolded above go together, and their goal is to make money. If you don't like the model a game uses then don't play it. There is no lack of options out there.
