True dat, it was really a letdown when I finally reached Robotnik's "Lair".

And I think people complained, why else would the endboss of Sonic 2 be a gigantic mech on a space station?

... Sonic 1 never really explained how you got to Robotnik's lair, Sonic 2 and 3 did a much better job in explaining the Sonic world.

The first boss of Trouble shooter. You just have to shoot it, don't move, because he doesn't. Just shoot and his down in a minute

What about Bob the Goldfish in the Earthworm Jim games. He cannot move and in the first part you'll only need to touch him once to beat him. In the second part you'll have to do NOTHING at all.

Heh, that makes me think of the dancing Japanese zombies in Monster Party for NES. I wonder how many video game bosses (or minibosses) can be beaten only by literally doing nothing?

Trouble Shooter is supposed to be an easy shmup. That's the point of it. Quick and easy casual fun.

Really? Maybe, but to me, didn't seemed so easy. You get one life and no continues. That's not very facilitator.

The GG counterpart is even easier since he can be hit even before he comes down in that version.

The only Sonic boss that stood out to me as lame, was the last boss of Sonic 3 alone (WITHOUT S&K attached)... After the awesome final boss of Sonic 2, I was expecting much more at the end of Sonic 3...

The last boss in Toxic Crusaders is as lame as the last boss of the Incredible Hulk. As soon as he sees you he escapes and flys away. Thats it. First time I saw this I thought I did something wrong but there is no alternate way to meet with him.

For all its difficulty, Target Earth has a pretty lame final boss. Fly around in a circle and keep shooting the little dude until he dies. Woo.

    they forgot the funny setup.
Yes, like Mysterio from the Spider-Man 2 movie game. That was great.

Final boss in Ranger-X is kinda disappointing too, he shoots sparkles at you and doesn't move. Mr Freeze in Adventures of Batman and Robin is a pretty lame fight too, specially after Mad Hatter. In fact the entire chapter is disappointing after the Mad Hatter stages.

Jafar in Aladdin is amazingly crappy too, specially compared to the SNES Aladdin final boss fight.

Crusader of Centy has the most non-nonsensical and underwhelming string of final boss fights that I can think of. You fight the human senses? Sight, hearing, smell, touch, taste? Really? They weren't even challenging and only to lead up to the final-final boss to which even that is the same boss mechanic/weakness of previous: deflecting projectiles back and using the flame/frost sword. Ugh.

I think what makes a truly underwhelming boss is when it is attributed to an otherwise good game. I really enjoyed Centy, the mid-boss fight was fantastic, but those final bosses were just... deflating.

Centy gets downright weird at times.
