It would be a PC with a custom Sega case sold at a premium... so it'd be cool, but I wouldn't buy one, I'd just build one myself. In order to be a steam machine it needs to meet certain criteria, so it's not like they could be a steam machine +++, because anything they make for it would have to work on any other steam machine... that's kind of the whole point.
Now, if they went and made some awesome ports of lots of old games, put in a bunch of effort, THEN made a custom PC with a great case, and a custom version of the controller... then sold it all for a bundled price that made it worthwhile (while selling the games themselves individually/bundled on Steam) that could potentially be interesting.
