    Default Neo Geo pocket Colour

Wondering whether or not to get one, is it worth it? I'd have the screen back lit of course, but the only thing holding me back is that it seems quite 'basic.'

Also, room is growing short in the house and I do have a Nomad.

Unless there are some really special games I'm not too tempted but thought I'd seek advice first.

    Cheers folks.

I think it's largely skippable, unless you're really looking for a fun little portable. It is quite basic indeed, but the fighters are surprisingly fun and responsive. There's a Sonic remix that is great for more of the same of the 16-bit generation, and beats out the GBA games. It has the best portable Pac-Man and a couple other gems here and there. Also, the cartridges fit in a card sleeve like GB games, which makes it easy to store.

Not a must-own if you're limited, but not bad by any means.

I think they are an awesome little system, and pretty damn cheap to pick up and build a decent library for. I'm a little biased due to my love of fighting games though.

You can get a NGPC from japangamestock for something in the region of 40USD, and then plenty of games are around the $5 mark on ebay.

Without an inbuilt light, yeah, you do need to be fairly careful about your light sources, but it's a high quality screen. Personally I like the ability to actually sit out in the sun and play a handheld.

I own one but only 1 game, Sonic Pocket Adventure. I wished I had more but I wished I could get them with the cases but since I don't really have a "retro" store that sales stuff like this its very hard to find the games out in the wild and plus cased games on eBay go for ridiculous amounts of money.

I bought mine for the single purpose of playing Sonic Pocket Adventure. I just haven't had the time to purchase the game yet. Hopefully one day soon. I also haven't bought any games because I really want them complete and mint.
