    Default Deadlight

This is currently going as a freebie with M$'s "Games for Gold" promotion (basically those with Gold subs get a free game each month), so I downloaded it. It's a Prince of Persia style 2D game in the style of a graphic adventure, with you playing as some guy trying to find his family during a zombie outbreak in an alternative 80s timeline. It's not perfect, the controls can get annoying at times, but it's a damn fine game which cost me nothing at all.

It's only available until Wednesday, so I'd grab it quick. It's on Steam if don't mind paying for it too.

It's okay for a single playthrough. Short and entertaining.

I enjoyed it enough to want to play it again to get all of the acheivements. It was short and sweet.

Yeah, pretty much this. Was a little bummed about the last part of the game; just as the game gets going, boof, it's over.

Also as the "Games with/for/whatever Gold" promotion has ended with Deadlight, the new game under the deal this month is Dust: An Elysian Tail. Same deal as before, free until end of the month to download. I bought it before the promotion, so I def suggest to grab it now while you can. At least give it a try.

It's a pretty good 2D hack n slasher, some gameplay footage of it here. As with Deadlight, it's also on Steam.
