Sega Genesis Model 1 Power LED And Wiring Harness Questions

Hello,new to this forum and hope someone can help me. I have 3 Sega Genesis' model 1 that the power LED doesn't work. Plus I need the wiring piece that connects to the main pcb and the LED. My problem is I don't know what kind of LED I need and where to get them. Plus I've searched all over and can't find the correct service manual with the parts list to download. Can anyone here please help and let me know what I need to get and where? Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Any 3mm LED will work look on ebay or tayda as for the cable something like this will work although it's not an exact match but similar.

Tayda has facilities here in the states I get things from them all the time and within a week or less.

All standard LEDs are made with the same specs. You can be 99.9% sure, that any 3mm red LED will do the trick. It's one of the most standardized parts in the industry, and you can get them anywhere.

If you walk into a random electronics repair shop and ask for a red LED, and it turns out they don't have one, I'm pretty sure you're legally obligated to burn the place to the ground.

I was once told by a Radio Shack employee that they didn't carry copper wire. Is that fair grounds for burning down the store?

3mm 2000MCD or higher, depending on how bright you want it. Not much else to look for other than color.

5mm will work, but requires drilling to fit.

Is there a difference between the genesis that has High Def graphics on the top ring and the ones that don't? Found a guide on ifixit but the genesis shown there doesn't have the logo and you just pop off the red piece to get to the led. Mine has a black ring around it and can't get at the red piece. Anyone know about this? Thanks!
