What can I say? It's simply the luck - or lack of - of the draw.

Nice summary on Sega Rally, (lol at SIDEWAYS, DAMMIT) Elusive, although I think it's a bit deeper than you imply.

stopped by a used game store I go to often and picked these up:

shining force cd (sega cd, complete)
    outlander (sega genesis, complete)

    wario land (gameboy, complete)
motocross maniacs advance (game boy advance, cart only)
rayman hoodlums revenge (game boy advance, cart only)

I couldn't believe it that I found shining force cd complete over here, it wasn't cheap though.

I am envious of your Shining Force CD acquisition.

I just got Sega Arcade Smash Hits: Limited Collector's Edition for the Amiga, sealed. It's a box set containing Shinobi, Out Run, Alien Syndrome, After Burner, and Thunder Blade (all originally released separately for the Amiga).

Eternal Champions - Sega Genesis - Mint/Complete - This proves that Sega of America had no business making games.

Cyborg Justice - Sega Genesis - Cart & box - Now that I have both this and Cosmic Carnage, my cyber-robo-fighting collection is complete!

Lion King - Sega Genesis - Complete - This is actually a pretty well made game, but it's really hard. My ostrich keeps dying on the double jump in stage 1-2 even though I clear the obstacles. Can't get past it. The instruction manual is in color which is absolutely UNPRECEDENTED in a Sega game. Unbelievable, actually.

Chi Chi's Pro Challenge Golf - Sega Genesis - Complete - I can't believe this was programmed in Japan. It sucks ass! Putting is nearly impossible. I don't know who the fuck Chi Chi is, but he can go to hell.

California Games - Sega Genesis - Complete - Just as uncontrollable as all of the other versions, but with some nice scrolling. The most impressive feature is probably the 224 simultaneous colors it puts on screen in the options mode.

Tiny Toon Adventures Acme All*Stars - Sega Genesis - Mint/Complete - Not much to say about this one. Better than any Simpson's game, for sure. All though I'd like to see an OJ Simpson game kind of like Grand Theft Auto.

Hal's Hole in One - SNES - cart only - This game isn't as good as I remember. The controls suck and the SNES can barely keep up with scrolling the single-layered playfield as it really chugs and is very choppy. I guess that in 1991 I was wearing rose-tinted glasses when I rented this. I still remember that music! Still, better than Chi Chi.

Starfox - SNES - cart only - Never once did Peppy say "Do a barrel roll" so I don't know where people are getting that nonsense.

Agreed. I´ll never understand what all the fuss some Genny owners make about it is all about. Well, at least it has 24 MEGA POWER.

    I bought....

Shenmue, DC, PAL, MINT, 18,-€. Too bad it will arrive after my copy of Shenmue 2 though.

Virtua Fighter 3tb, DC, PAL, sealed, 1,-€. This game seems to have been so damn unpopular that you can get sealed copies of it in every German Online-shop for 5,-€ maximum.

Phantasy Star, Master System, PAL, complete in box with 1 English and 1 German manual 12,-€. Lucky find. Usually sells for 25,-€ or so.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2, PS2, PAL, complete, 3,-€
