I've seen people go in phases like this. Buy stuff, realize they can't afford any of it, then sell it all off. Of course it repeats. After he paid $235 for the glove, he might have had serious buyer's remorse and tried to talk you into taking it back. He kept it but is now selling it just a few months later.

I doubt this guy is a simple re-seller. Look at his items. There's not a hangtab missing from a single clamshell. Most of the stuff is in pristine condition. Resellers usually pick up a fair amount of garbage along with the good stuff. Of course, it's pretty common to use a second account for the garbage so that it doesn't harm the image of "quality", but I believe this guy's story.
Yeah, this is obviously a very focused collector who was specific about getting pristine and complete with all inserts copies of games. If they haven't piped up here then I'm surprised they're not on NintengoAge or SegaAge, this is someone who knows a lot about Genesis games. I would love to get a chance to archive all the listings just for information purposes since I'm sure copies like these are not going to show up in this quantity or quality again any time soon.

I agree. I've been collecting for years, and very few of my games are in such complete or pristine condition. Even if I wanted to seek out only the very best condition games, it would take a LONG time to actually find them, let alone afford them. I wouldn't be surprised if it took him 5 years or more to amass the collection he's selling.

Both the glove and game went for $718! I don't beleive this to be legit though... I got this message from him last week, so either he has a shell bidder or? As I said before, it was really an overall odd transaction...

It's definitely an odd auction amount. I notice that the bids were jumping in increments ending in .49.. Oh well..

Here was his message last week:

A guy from France bought 60 games for crazy amounts and i have to open a unpaid case for each one and relist them all. It really upseting.

Yeah, I agree...it seems...excessive, to the least. If he actually gets it though, more power to him...I guess we'll only really know based on any feedback that is given on either end, and then matching up the feedback numbers on the bidder history page. Honestly, I don't know that I'd take the time to go through it all...more than anything, I was just thrilled to find some high-quality shots of the glove.

...I guess I'm missing it, what do you mean, or what does he mean with this "doesn't like us here"? Doesn't like that we're talking about the listing, or the speculation, what's the deal?

Ah well, what can you do...maybe this other thread that was talked about a few posts earlier wasn't so kind(I don't think we said anything harsh in this one).

The high price of the glove I can actually kind of get. A seriously rare item that hasn't ever really surfaced.

But what I really can't get is the price of the game for $305. That reg card is not that rare... I have it in my collection and I'm sure it comes up every now and then. I doubt a sealed copy would even break $200.

Looks like the same buyer bought bought the glove and the game. Damn... again the glove I get, kind of. But that game... can't wrap my head around it.

AKA my alt shill account inflated end prices, so now I'll relist and hope some suckers bid high based on the fraudulent end prices

    Moral to this story is:
Do your home work and if someone is expressing immediate interest, it's a sign that they know something you don't. I honestly don't think I could have pulled the same dough he did. I don't know much about Sega games, apparently that is his forte'. I'm a little bitter, but life goes on lesson learned..

After registering in 2015, I can FINALLY respond to this. I'm the guy formerly known as Mojo JoJo on the UseNet forums. I paid $29 for it at Toys R Us back in the day and got the glove. Here's a recent pic, it's left handed, it's dumb, it would have been better on the right hand. Hopefully the pic loads since e apparently, I can't upload the pic from my phone.

Lol, nice! I remember seeing that glove for the first time in one of my free SEGA Visions magazines. I had no desire to get it then nor do I now, many moons later. Thanks for sharing that pic.
