The Wii U version runs at a more constant 60fps at 720p, which is a big improvement over the PS3 version, and a modest improvement over the 360 version. The PS3 version ran at around 30fps most of the time going as low as under 20fps at parts. The 360 version did hit 60fps but when a lot of action was on screen it dropped to the low 40's and high 30's.

The Wii U version also has exclusive new content such as Nintendo themed costumes. It will also have the option of English or Japanese voices along with optional gamepad features.

Japanese voices is cool, Nintendo costumes I don't really care for, FPS improvement is cool.

Why not just release it on PC so we can play it in 1080p lol

Yeah, I'm sure Nintendo is like "Let's fund this game and put it on PC so people don't buy a Wii U. That's a great idea."

    no not really

bayonetta is cheap on the 360 and ps3 though so if you have either of those you can pick it up to see what all the fuss is about

but no single game is worth buying a whole console for
That`s true. But as Lan Di already mentioned, there are a number of exclusive games that are actually quite appetizing. Bayonetta being one of them.

I`ve already played through Bayonetta and really enjoyed the game. If Nintendo releases a Bayonetta WiiU bundle, there is no question that I will pick it up.

But they did fund the Wii U port and the sequel. If it weren't for Nintendo the series would be dead right now.

Yeah probably, although it's not like Platinum Games don't have enough hack and slashes on their plate as it is :P

The "hack and slash" genre is the only current gen genre that hearkens to the 16 bit era outside of the easy money remakes/sequels. Shinobi 3, Chakan, and Strider were hack and slash platformers. Don't sit there and tell me you never played Sword of the Berserk for the Dreamcast. I'm certain you enjoyed that game. If not, give it a try. You'll love it.

I never thought I would ever say this of Nintendo, but I commend them on their efforts regarding Bayonetta 1&2 for the Wii U. That at least tells me that Nintendo is willing to think outside the prepubescent box and attract the more mature demographic. That's plenty more than what stupid clueless Sega is doing for it's fan base.

Well, for what it's worth if Sega was in a better financial position at the time I would imagine they wouldn't have been so quick to cancel Bayonetta 2. And in Japan Sega is doing a lot of things right with games like PSO2.

Nice name calling dude, relax. SEGA owns the IP and I'm sure the deal they inked with Nintendo guarantees them 100% exclusivity. I mean, Nintendo should know how to do a exclusive deal, its not like they just started making consoles.

Side by Side comparison of Bayonetta 1 on the Wii U vs the PS3 version:

Set the playback speed to 2x to get 60fps. While this one isn't as interesting as a 360 comparison, it's definitely good to see that we don't have a disaster like the PS3 port on our hands.

Things are not looking good for the Japanese launch. Only 39,000 sold the first week and 28,000 on the first day. Link--->http://gematsu.com/2014/09/media-cre...es-91514-92114
