Yes I was:

JCU asked for my thoughts on the Wii U's poor showing compared to the PS4 and Xbox One. I assumed he meant third party in particular because it has a rather strong showing of first party titles.
And someone made a thread about a console you just hate, so you decided to armor up and start posting trolling posts to try and "flush the turd that wont flush" that only seems to exist in your imagination.
Two can play at this game. If the Wii U disgusts you so much, why don't you just not participate in the threads concerning it?
so...has anyone tried out the new gamecube controller adaptor and reissue gamecube controllers that nintendo released back in november?
$29.99 for a GCN controller with a fancy little symbol on it? No thanks.
I would purchase the adapter if I saw one though.
Well to be fair, that was the going rate for a new GC controller before the Smash one came out. Supposedly we're about to see more adapters (aside from the bundle shenanigans GameStop has pulled the past few days), which would be nice since I decided I needed a couple of them after they had already sold out.
It's probably just an excuse for me to get 4 more wavebirds, though. Should've already done that a long time ago since I was already using system link for Double Dash 8 player (Mario Kart 8 is nice, but Double Dash is still the best by far), but it was easier to make due with wired controllers when half the players were in another room.
That lack of system link support is my biggest gripe about the Wii U (me and the two other guys that care that much about it). 5 players is better than 4, but I'd kill for 10 player local support. Online play will never even come close to local multiplayer for games like this. It's hard to RKO somebody for using a blue shell on you when they aren't even in the same country.
Well, the new Smash Bros. does at least have 8 player support. You can use 8 Wiimotes+Nunchucks, 8 Pro Controllers, 8 3DS's, or 8 GC Controllers if you want.
As for the new GC controller, it's pretty nice. It feels just as good as my original ones. The one perk it does have is like the White one they did for Brawl it has a significantly longer cord.
Don't you have to mix different kinds of controllers to do 8 player? How would you sync 8 Wii remotes?
You just can't handle my jawusumness responces.
My bad, it's 7 max for the Wii Remotes + expansions and the Wii U pro controller, the gamepad counts as the 8th player in those set ups. But you can do 8 Gamecube and 8 3DS systems if you want:

Hey Trekkies, how does the new Smash Bros, compare to the other games in the series?
Personally, it would be interesting to hear your overall thoughts with respect to games you`ve completed for the system. (i.e. Maybe highlighting areas where a given game excels at and where it falters)

Overall it's a nice balance between Brawl and Melee. There's no tripping or any of the other annoying things Brawl added in and it plays a little faster. There character Roster is pretty good though if you like Ice Climbers they're not in it. Overall I'd say it's probably the best one since Melee. 8 Player smash is great when you have a ton of friends over, and they really went all out to use the 1080p resolution to it's fullest so some of the stages are huge:
The new characters are pretty good too. Little Mac is really powerful, Shulk is a nice variation on Marth/Roy/Ike, Rosalina and Luma is interesting to play as, etc. Also some characters like Sonic got a really nice boost in power. And there's a ton of content in it. It's definitely worth the $60 if that's what you're wondering. Basically it's better than Brawl, but some extremely hardcore Melee fanatics might still not be happy. My only real complaint is the lack of the single player story campaign Brawl had. I found that entertaining to play through.
Thanks Trekkies! So far Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros, and Wonderful 101 are the 3 games that I am most interested in. In terms of upcoming titles, Fatal Frame 5 and Xenoblade Chronicles X are the other two titles that I am enthusiastic about. If the list of upcoming releases for 2015 are correct, the Wii U's library will get better.
Since you have a list of titles for the Wii U, I encourage you to give your thoughts on each game. For those of us who don't own the console (yet), reading a review would give us a good flavor for the console.
