    Default Games that support mouse?

Well, lucky me, as of yesterday I've become the owner of a pretty cool genesis mega mouse (FREE)

I know there's one fully mouse-dedicated game which I believe is Art Alive but I've read that you can use with with others such as those FMV adventure games.

    This true?

    Thanks a lot

I'm interested too ... just scored a new sealed one for $12 shipped.

Here's a list of supported games: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_Mega_Mouse. Of course it's Wikipedia, so it could be incomplete / wrong.

It'll be worth it just for Mansion of Hidden Souls and Panic!, IMO.

Does anyone know if the Japanese games designed for the original 2-button Sega Mouse will work with the US Mega Mouse? I read they're not fully compatible but don't know if they were talking about the trackball capability or what.

Just beware using the mouse with Populous 2 - stupid Virgin programmers obviously didn't bother to actually test the game with the mouse before putting it out, otherwise they might have noticed that the up/down movements are inverted - move mouse up, cursor goes down and vice versa.

Can't you flip the mouse over, and use the ball like a trackball? That might explain it.

Perhaps there's an option somewhere that you can change when you plug in the mouse?

You can do that with the original, 2-button version but not with the 3-button one. Apparently, you could also press the ball to click with the 2-button one as well. It's possible Populous 2 was designed for that functionality and released before the 3-button one was made.

I don't think that is possible -- didn't Populous 2 come out wayyyyy after the mouse?

In any case, the Amiga uses the same 9-pin connectors as the Genesis -- would an Amiga mouse work with any Genesis games? I know that the opposite (using a Genesis controller on an Amiga as a joypad) does work.

I doubt it. There wasn't any "standard" for transmitting mouse movements on the Genesis. So the protocols probably don't work..
Customized Sega Genesis Model 1 - VA3. Energy efficient with buck converters instead of LM7805's.

It's a moot point, because flipping it would just leave you with the left/right movements inverted, which is possibly even worse.
