Default Any advice for scratched CD

    Man I'm really bummed out.

My Star Wars Chess CD got scratched up when I was taking it out the unit and into the case.

Both the Sega CD 2 and the Sega CD game are horrible designed. There is no way to get a good grip on the disc. Zero elevation.

Do you guys any adivce? Thx.

What are you talking about? You can easily get a grip on the discs from the model 1 and model 2 Sega CD systems.. Model 1 is no different than any tray loader, and model 2 is no different than any top loader. If you're scratching the disc, that's your fault.

As to fixing it, I hear tooth paste actually work..

I would just get the disc repaired professionally, it would only cost a few bucks.

it's probably just me but i have to use two hands to take the CD out since you can't push down on the spindle and pop the disc slightly

my ps1 and dreamcast right here have never given me any problems like this

but you're right, it is my fault.

    thx for the advice

model 1 sega cd: put finger in hole of disc, use thumb to grab edge of CD.. the disc does stand out to do this on left and right sides..

model 2 sega cd: put finger on spindle, start lifting disc with thumb, disc will move a little off spindle, and go onto your finger..

I had a problem with a scratched vay disk. Luckily it was scratched during an FMV so I just copied the cd ignoring the errors and used the back up to play through the scratch, then switched cds back.
