So the first thing that I did as a first timer I was able to bring back my not working sega genesis back to life when I discovered that I had to create a bridge in the power supply board because the board itself was bad. So that was my first and it was a success! The second was me creating an s-video out with 3 rca out (includes stereo from the headphones location). That part was a success too. Also I have no idea why I bothered with the 3RC but I did it anyways mainly because I can but s-video mod beats it all the way easy.

So that's pretty much experience so far and I am learning. But with this mod, I do need help with getting/purchasing the parts for this mod. Because I have seen on another website that sells something called RGB jailbar amp. So I don't know which option would be best and simple to do without harming the console. I would also need to know how to solder which wire goes to where on the sega genesis board. I saw your diagram on the first page of this thread and I'll be honest, I have trouble understand/reading that schematic diagram. >_< But if you can guide me I'm sure I'll be able to do it. I would really really appreciate it. =D
The best part is Sega always provided RGB on the US model 1, I'd suggest trying a quality cable (preferably c-sync) and see how it looks.
If satisfied then no mod is necessary.

Could you link me to how I can make one? Also, if there is a possibility for the SNES, GameCub, Dreamcast and Ps2 I'd really appreciate it. Keep note that I have a Samsung HD tv which it doesn't have scart and also I am well aware of the Framemesiter but I am staying away from it cause it is really expensive.

The assembly process looks something like this. Remembering to adjust as desired for capacitors/resistors and so on.

Still yeah without scart it won't do much good. Unfortunately RGB is rather useless in many countries.

SNES has RGB on model 1. All Dreamcast and PS2 do.
Not GameCube, its finest plug and play option has long been the component cable. At least until somebody gets a male digital plug mass produced to open up the possibility of external converter boxes.

Greetings Helder I have been looking for a solution for my snes. I was wondering what you would do in my situation. I have read ACE's thread and yours and I am at a loss of how to accomplish this. I have two SNES decks one old one with the ba6592f chip and the other has the S-rgb ba6596f chip in it. From what I see the 96f chip can not give me component , I think? The 92f can I am just trying to figure out what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Necro bump. Either of our methods use RGB output from the encoder so either one can be used to get Component. Mine uses cheap discreet parts and his uses the encoder chip so it all comes down to what is easier for you to build or what parts you can get.

Finally a member and it feels so good to post here.
    Hello!
I've built this circuit (and a myriad of others) to try and get Component video from the 15khz RGB mode of a Dreamcast! I have had by far more success with this circuit than any other I've tried so far, but no matter how much I tweak it (and I mean I've changed the values of almost every resistor) I can't seem to get it to look perfect! I've achieved a nigh-perfect color balance but the whole picture is too dark.

Here's an edit of Helder's schematic, it's much closer to what I'm using:

(the two brackets on the bottom should be potentiometers)

I'm going to try using a THS7316 to amplify all of my output lines, but I am worried about my sync pulses being too weak. According to my cheap digital oscilloscope, my sync pulses do not dip nearly low enough.

I will edit this post or post again when I have results! I also am trying to reverse engineer etim's NESRGB to see how that thing encodes YPbPr, and I think I'm almost ready to draw out a schematic and order parts!
