Default How to fix delayed sound with Mega-CD games on Kega via [iso + MP3 files]?

When i play Mega-CD games on Kega 3.64 (Which is my fav' emulator though i'd have some requests to improve it further but i can already say a huge thanx to its Creator!) & which come in [iso+MP3s] format the sound (Music + every SFX / voices which are including in the music like with Sol-Feace Jap' or Night Striker) is delayed of about 2, 3 secondes.

    How to fix that?

Most US Roms come in [bin+cue] files which are perfectly synchronized but all Japanese games files i found until now are in [iso+MP3s] format & have this sound delay problem...

the obvious ~ do the tracks have 2 seconds of blank space at the beginning of each track? if so youve found the problem.

most ISO+MP3 rips are ripped incorrectly. you cant fix them, download BIN+CUE files.

The only obvious thing is that i've noticed what happens i.e., as i've said, a 2-3 seconds delay, but i didn't know why this happens.

So it's only a bad rip affair? So i just have to replace these Roms with well-ripped ones...
But not necessarily BIN+CUE files since, in fact, i currently run iso+MP3s Keiō Yūgekitai & everything is synchronized.

    Anyway thanx for the tips!

What's the best site for BIN+CUE files?

Why is Kega STILL pretty much the only emulator I know of that supports ISO+MP3? It's such a fantastic option to save some disk space...

Well, given the problems with ISO+MP3 (I can't really be bothered listing them here, but, they can make emulation itself a bit painful), BIN+CUE just works far better as a whole. Especially since Hard Drives are so massive nowadays anyway.

I've got ~114 Sega CD games on my hard drive, mostly ISO+MP3, versus ~214 Turbo CD games, none of which are. Those Turbo CD games take up ~98GB, the Sega CD games 22GB. Even accounting for the big difference in number of games, that's like a ~60GB difference -- a relevant size for almost all hard drive sizes.

Of course for newer consoles which don't always have CD audio this wouldn't be an option, but for systems with lots of games WITH CD audio, It'd be great to see ISO+MP3 support in things other than Kega.

ISO+MP3 are horrible lossy rips from the 90s though. There just needs to be better rips out there of the titles.
