BEST use of color on Game Gear?

The system was made to have thousands of colors. What games make use of it?

Columns is colorful and awesome. Sonic 1 has some extra colors etc. I don't like GG Sonic 2 but it has some small differences, including at least a couple of different colors IIRC.

The exclusive Sonic titles are just that, exclusive, and I assume they draw on the giant color palette.

What other games make use of the giant palette?

I'm asking because most games seem like Master System games with almost no changes...

It seemed to me that GG had a wider palette, but wasn't able to show at screens more colors than SMS (unless you use some trick like HBLANK color swapping, but I don't even know if it's doable on SMS/GG).

backgrounds a little drab perhaps, but I remember being blown away by the digitisation of Mortal Kombat characters. Really not bad at all.

Tempo looks AMAZING!!! What bothers me is that the Sprite Animation is almost as good as the 32X game, how did that happen?

Some great examples have already been mentioned. I would also add Donal Duck Deep Duck Trouble, it has very nice looking backgrounds and sprites too. Not sure if it came out first on SMS of GG, or if there are any diferences in the colors used.

I have seen some interesting use of detail and colour after level 1 on Lion King ,also the Sonic games and Fantastic Dizzy.

Royal Stone looks better than most MD and MCD RPGs! The actual design of the graphics, although the colour is nice. Zenki, going by that shot, could easily be mistaken for a MD game and that water in Legend of Illusion looks amazing! I was always very annoyed with SEGA for not making a nice side scrolling action Zenki for the Saturn. Especially because the PC-FX game is in stupid price territory and seemingly always will be. The GG game is quite good too! I could easily see a Zenki game on the Saturn modelled after Banpresto's awesome Sailor Moor arcade game. Shame it never happened. A beat em up of that quality was sorely needed in the 32-BIT era!
