The folks over at Wired love testing the strength of various items. They recently did the exact same thing by comparing the durability between the Xbox One and PS4. Now its the turn of all the retro consoles, though the NES and Master System are surprisingly absent. They start off with the SNES/Genesis, then move through to the PS1/Saturn/N64, then its the PS2/Dreamcast/Xbox/Gamecube and lastly the PS3/Xbox 360/Wii era.
After that theyll take the winners through one more test that involves Mountain Dew (who wouldve thought?).

And I'd say not really a true "test" because some of those consoles did fall at worse angles than others.

Not only is this a completely retarded idea and a waste of out of production consoles, but the tests are not even done right and in a scientific manner. These guys do not deserve their lab coats and whoever had the idea to do this should be ashamed, very ashamed.

I refuse to watch that video and give those fucktards a view. As others have said, not cool, those consoles aren't made anymore. Even if those "test" consoles are broken (don't know, won't watch the video), you could still sell them as-is for repair or just the shell/case so someone else could fix their console. Good thing they didn't drop/"test" a Genesis CDX, as I feel that the dislike/hate comments would flood that video tenfold.

How much awesome hardware must die in the name of entertainment!?!?!? If I was there, I would be sweeping up chunks of dead console for parts/repair.

Bunch of idiots.
If they wanted to destroy consoles they could have at least done it by seeing which was capable of surviving the longest gaming session.
I say this as somebody who crippled my original playstation, with 12+ hour sessions of FF7.
