Hi and welcome, oldmanwinters.
No love for shooters in your collection?
Not even one?![]()
Thanks for the welcome. As you can see, platformers, hockey, and arcade basketball tended to be my thing on Genesis. I never really got into shooters, although Metal Head for 32X does fit the genre to an extent. Atomic Runner is more of an action game, but it does have some shooter elements (weird ones). Got any recommendations?
I'd love to own Gunstar Heroes!
Well, I believe everybody will agree that Thunder Force III is a great starter.
I'd also keep an eye out for Elemental Master, Fire Shark, Sol-Deace, Steel Empire and Sagaia, which are all not so expensive and represent well what the Genesis is all about regarding shooters.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. I might as well post my Genesis most wanted list while I'm here:
#1 Dynamite Headdy
#2 Gunstar Heroes
#3 Toejam & Earl/ Toejam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron
#4 X-Men 2: The Clone Wars
#5 Revenge of Shinobi
#6Castle of Illusion
#7Quackshot
#8 Vectorman/Vectorman 2
#9 World of Illusion
#10 Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
#11 Captain America & the Avengers (this poorly translated mess has great nostalgic appeal for me!)
#12 Streets of Rage/Streets of Rage 3
#13 Earthworm Jim/Earthworm Jim 2
#14 Ristar
#15 Spider-Man vs. the Kingpin
#16 Spider-Man/X-men: Arcade's Revenge
I do love pawn shops and the $5 or less Sega Genesis game! Anybody else feel that it is much easier to find quality Genesis games in good condition as compared with NES and SNES games? I think Sega's hard plastic cases really paid off for game preservation.![]()

I'm playing this on a shitty 50Hz Tv. Planning on getting a 60Hz TV and playing with scart.
I got a Sega Mega Drive 1. Think its one of the oldest cause it has the 'High Definition graphics - Stereo Sound' Logo.

Yes it's a small collection but in this case quality is better than quantity, surely?
