That's what I mean, after a certain number (in my case 30), it gets hard to place them in any sort of definitive order since they all feel as good as one another, i.e. very solid. That's the Sega Seal of Quality in action for you

Yeah that's basically it. Heck my list doesn't even have any of the Road Rash games (that's 3 games right there), I could probably keep going with "sweet, but I don't play them anymore" till like 150 games.

anyway don't forget in those kind of lists the last place (the 100th game) is usually a hidden gem or something YOU want to be looked at beyond the fact that it's probably not going to make it onto the final list.

I agree with Zebbe: as I said, it's much easier to group our preferences in tiers and the only rank the top-tier ones. Also ranking 32X games amongst MD games seems weird (we are just not used to) as it is somewhat regarded as a different console on its own (that must be planted onto the MD, though...)

but starflight and its intro music are so awesome, you have to buy it to believe it, man it is hard compiling a top 100 list

Just put the finishing touches on my own personal list. I have 100 games, with about 30 more that it really hurt to cut. I did limit myself to just 1 football game even though there were at least 5-6 more that I probably should have included, there just wasn't enough room. Can't wait to tally up the results. TFIV is in my top 5, I'll tell you that much. I erred on the side of caution with that prediction, shooters are never as popular but I could be (hope) i'm wrong!

Turned in 98. I'm sure I could get to 100 easily, but I excluded games superior on other systems (with just a couple of exceptions, primarily for price). I'll post my list after the final tallies. I will give my top 5.

BTW Nobi do you have a good way of automating most of this process? Automatic search/replace with tab should let you plop most people's lists straight into a spreadsheet, and a good text editor can number in reverse order (or you could use an Excel formula where points = 101 - list number). I assume you've got something in mind -- just want to make sure you're not giving yourself carpal tunnel for no reason.
