MSX monitors I think.
I have a Santa Mega S-01 for S-Video out of my model 1 JP MDs and there's also a S-02 for the model 2 MD (these pictures aren't mine):
Both models use a Motorola MC13077P encoder.
FYI: I had a PAL Mega Drive that a crooked modder sold me (was supposed to be a JPN NTSC model). Just out of curiousity, I tried my XMD-3 on it and it pumped out NTSC s-video.![]()

Here's the inside of the XMD-3. I didn't have time to take the inner screws out to flip the pcb. Hopefully this is enough:

I would love to have something like these boxes but which would output both composite and S-Video, not only the latter. And why? Because I want to be able to compare the output of these encoders and how they match up with the CRT TVs I have (I have four right now). And with a box like this I would NOT have to mod 5 consoles; the modular approach is always so much better.
I've heard the CXA2075M has really superb composite output but IDK if it will be too sharp for some games which are filled with dithering. Or even how it will match up with a Sony Trinitron Wega which usually already provides super sharp image through composite when compared to most of the other CRT TVs. I may want to keep using the CXA1145 or the 32X's composite for some games, IDK; that's why the boxes are much better than modding the consoles themselves IMO.
Regarding the question about the quality of the MC13077 output, I find it very good. The colors seem to differ a bit in terms of saturation compared to the CXA1145; which can be good or bad sometimes.
Well that's one person, if 2 more sign up I'll invest time in building a few. My plan was to have S-video plus composite with audio RCA jacks and make it modular with different cable inputs like model 1&2 and snes too. I have connectors for these systems but in the DIY kit you solder everything yourself including the cables to sockets.
I don't have the skills to do use a DIY kit, but what I've always wanted and would pay a lot of money for is a box which takes in scart RGB and outputs s-video and stereo. I just want to be able to use it on as many consoles as possible.

I wouldn't mind paying for a custom RGB SCART to S-video converter.. I just recently bought and waiting for a CSYNC RGB Scart cable for my Model 1 Genesis... Thats my last chance to see if it will work on my WEGA Trinitron.. no other options here... unless I miraculously find a SONY PVM monitor.. which accepts RGB scart... sigh... so I'm down with this idea!
