    YouTube KidShoryuken's Import Game Reviews

    Hi!

I've followed this great YouTube channel for quite some time and I think it's an awesome reference for those into import games.
There's a lot of lesser-known JP-only titles coverage of all console generations but mostly from the 4th, 5th and 6th generations.

I especially enjoy the fact that it provides some really good coverage for PS1 Japanese games, which is something really difficult to find despite the gazillions of YT channels dedicated to review games.

There's also some good attention to the introduction of the story of each game, which really helps to get into some of these Japanese text-heavy games. And all capture is done from real hardware.

    Some of my favorite reviews:

The game is a bit on the easier side, but it's a lot fun game. It's an underrated shmup, in the soldier series, but like the others on the system the music is great (and different). It sounds like the same instrument pack as Jackie Chan.

I started watching his reviews from the beginning (i.e. from the earliest ones) and got sidetracked. I need to get caught up!

KidShoryuken has uploaded some good ones in theses last months:

By the way, I love Gundam: The Battle Master.

I've never heard of Konami Magazine before and it looks cool.

Awesome! I've been picking up PSX imports lately so this is of interest to me. I'll check some of these out later this weekend when I have more time.

    As usual, thanks for posting.

I only have 3 of these titles featured in the videos. I have Cyberbots on the Saturn, Garou: Mark of the Wolves (NA domestic) and Chaos Field (Gamecube). I have no idea how to (without modding a PS2), or want, to try the imports on the PlayStation.

A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
