I got one for this thread!

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wonder-Dog-F...-/132094858356

Brand New Sealed copy of red box Wonder Dog, it went for $1,025. IT IS CRAZY for me to imagine someone paying this much.

The same seller had a number of sealed games they got rid of:
    http://www.ebay.com/csc/nebrazca78/m..._sop=13&_rdc=1

They made a ton of money that weekend.

If you want to support an anti-firearm approach, using Detroit will not help your cause unless you think murder rates in the city are committed by those who legally purchased firearms. Lets not even get into Ireland because a litany can be written on how those people have acted.

it doesn't matter about legality of guns. the fact guns are being sold in a national where possessing guns is widely accepted will automatically mean people who shouldn't get these guns will get them in their hands eventually as well.

look also at latin america. incredible murder rates all thanks to us arms

Please take the gun control discussion to another thread and get this one back on topic. Last warning.

I'll start a new thread for that.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

Back when most Genesis games were cheap, I bought a ton of stuff from nebrazca78 -- in fact, his stuff is pretty much the core of my Genesis collection -- and he did well by me.

If someone's going to cash in on the sealed game craze, at least I'm glad it's someone who's been in the game for a while.

I still don't get the idea of paying over a 1K for a sealed video game... collecting video games and basically everything that is functional besides of being a physical object is about:

    a) rarity
    b) condition
    c) working order meaning it should be functional(I'm not a native speaker sorry)

Just wondering how in the world are you going to tell if this game is working?
And no matter how educated you are sealed games can still be faked and you won't ever know.
Like for example I can take a rare CIB game in a mint condition and take my time to find a way to seal it so it matches the original factory seal.
Voila the game costs 2x or 3x more now.. you can even break the seal and check, it will look like new. what's next?

What I'm trying to say is that, sealed games have no actual purpose(for me personally), because I don't actually know whether it's real or not, and also I have now idea what's actually inside. Ain't paying extra for that. No sir.

p.s. Don't get me wrong, this does not apply to the Paintings and other collectible stuff that has no functional value and is all about rarity and condition.

Sealed game collecting makes little sense to me. With toys or baseball cards, it sorta makes sense because they don't really do anything besides sit on your shelf, so having a card in a sleeve (or even sealed in some kind of VGA case) doesn't really impact the functionality of the item. With video games, the whole point is that you get to play the game. Sure, having the cover art and manual and everything is a nice bonus, but I buy my games to play, not look pretty on a shelf. I have bought a few sealed games, but only because they were dirt cheap and I was planning to open and play the game. For example, some guy on eBay's selling sealed copies of Sonic 2 for Game Gear so I got one for the novelty. With old disc based games, buying sealed is a pretty dumb move in general. With REALLY early disc games (like Sega CD or PC Engine CD) you have problems with disc rot and stuff where you won't know if the game's functional or not without inspecting the disc (although I guess it doesn't matter if you're never going to play it) and with later titles you have problems with the disc popping out of its holder and getting scratched. Then there's examples where "preserving" a console by keeping it in the original box can actually give you worse problems than if you took the game out. The example that comes to mind is styrofoam packaging. Long story short, styrofoam can leech into cables and plastics, causing them to look nasty and there's no way to fix it AFAIK.

Yeah, the name is familiar to me as well, I think I have bought stuff from them as well. Definitely to have so many high value sealed SegaCD games they've probably been in the scene awhile.
