Was going to do this ever since I seen this SNESDrunk video where he mentions it as impossible to find them all, and I think he shows a really great example in one? (The one that's hidden in another bonus level seems like one heck of a trick on the player and maybe the reason for the 101% instead of just 100%, because Rare knew they were pulling a fast one)



Then he mentions it again in this video I'm just seeing for the first time today;




Now I have nothing against this guy, I love his vids. But to me personally, he's wrong. Because I found them all before the internet and before DCK2 was even released. Well, there was one tip in the school yard that helped me find the last 3% I was stumped with (I'm pretty sure I was the only one way ahead of everyone else in uncovering this games secrets). That's were one kid revealed that an "!" mark after each stage name basically reveals that you've found every secret in that stage. So I've been doing it the hard way all this time, lol. And once I knew what stages the last 3 secrets were in, I think I basically got the game to 101% that same day. But before I knew of this tip, finding the last few secret bonus rooms was getting pretty hard.

I also don't regret not knowing that school yard tip earlier, since I had a lot of fun playing DKC when it was new and trying to find every secret the hard way lead to much more replay value.


The only other DKC I found everything myself in was DKC2, the last DKC I had a ton of fun with. DKC3 for some reason lost my interest, despite getting it for that Christmas, and remains the only one on SNES I've yet to even beat normally, never mind all the secrets too.
