Resident Evil hate is different, it's more of a disapointment kind of hate from fans who have seen the series fall off so many times (although, Revelations was a breath of fresh air in the series).

COD hate well, COD is the sportsball backwards cap i drive a big jeep of video games. It just stands to reason that people on the internet would hate it.

Its seems to cool and hip to hate on Sonic, COD and RE games these days even if the likes of the last few Sonic games weren't bad at all and not even RE 6 is a total terrible unplayable game

I agree, I didn't get the hate that RE6 got. I mean yes Wesker's son is the lamest thing to ever come out of RE aside from Steve, but my main complaint is it felt too much like American action movie. The controls worked to a fair degree (part with Ada running from goo monster was bullshit though). The upgrade system was a bit trashy though. A big draw of replaying RE was going in with a super-mega-OP weapon and wrecking everything, RE6 lacked this feature unless I forgot/missed it.

It's like the worst fall from a great series to a complete joke. It's not even hate now, older generation Sonic fans just don't care anymore. I know i don't.

Sonic Generations wasn't even good on consoles with it's 30fps scrolling (yuck!) combined with the LCD blurring + input lag. It was unplayable for me. On PCs it was OK though.

Still, the game was probably the best post Mega Drive era mostly because it's based on the nostalgia of the good Sonic games. The first few levels were especially great because they had the art direction of those Genesis/Mega Drive games plus the song remixes were great. Saying Generation is the best pretty much proves the point that the Genesis games were, in fact, the best.

The series has got back on form of late . Sonic Colours was fablous , Sonic Generation great and Sonic Lost World not too bad at all . So no Sonic series doesn't deserve the hate it gets of late. People slag Sonic games off with out even playing them and same for COD so many slagging off the game based on youtube or a rubbish demo

Sonic has always been overrated. They're pretty weak gameplay-wise and lack substance. The momentum and physics ain't fun and are garbage. Push right and hit the jump button occasionally.

Sonic Colors and Generations are so good.

I especially love how they make it feel like you have practically zero control over Sonic and the entire game essentially becomes a rollercoaster. Such fun!

Great point . Quackshot, Revenge of Shinobi and Mickey Mouse on the MD were such better platform games compared the MD series

I go back and play through those games on occasion and they're still fun. Sonic is a chore to play through and gets boring fast.

Hey, I just played through all the main Genesis Sonic games recently, and I had a great time. I was actually going to do Quackshot and Castle of Illusion next for my Genesis platform games, but just lost interest as usual for these two games. Might give them another attempt.

Replayed through the two 3ds versions in the past year and they couldn't have ended soon enough. Nice music though, especially in part 2.
