Sonic Boom from 1987 is most definitely the best game in the Sonic Boom franchise.

    Bump!

An in-depth playthrough of the game's currently revealed two levels; included new footage of the cavern part of Green Hill.

Full credit goes to Sonic Retro from whom I nicked this from.

Stopped watching about 2:18 in, when I realized, what's going to be left to discover for ourselves if we keep watching these things?

I would rep, but I must spread some first.

But, damn, I swear that dude has never played a Sonic game in his life. It's like watching SNErdS playing Sonic. WTF?

If that's the closest thing to a physical release, I might just go that route. Holding out hope for a physical handheld release though. I mean, if Shovel Knight can...

How the fuck does it not make fiscal sense to simply add a fucking hard copy of the game when they're giving all of that other stuff?

    Jeez

Exactly. If a physical copy were to be included I would have been all over this and placed a preorder today. The statue and other pieces are cool and all but since there isn't a physical copy of the game, this is a no go for me. I just don't see how a "Collector's Edition" can have no physical copy. If this was the only way to get one, then like I said, I would have preordered today.

I already pre-ordered mine. This is a great collector's set even without a physical disc. I'm glad they used the old school black grid style design. I'm not going to throw an entitled tantrum complaining there is no physical copy. I definitely prefer a physical copy, but ill take this set. Sega has all but abandoned their dwindling fan base, and I see this a step in the right direction no doubt.

At $56 with the prime discount I'm pretty sure at this point you're just buying the statue and extras and the download is a bonus. I have no room in my life for more figs/statues right now so I'll probably pass.
