Love that that number of floors on the elevator dial in the intro reads 1 2 3 K M. Referring to Sonic games 1,2,3 & Knuckles followed by Mania. A sign that Sega really do consider this to be the version of Sonic 4 that never was. It already looks like a genuine part of the classic Sonic series and I can't bloody wait to play it!

JoyToKey still works with Windows 7, so if you want to use a Saturn controller to play this, JoyToKey can feed the controller inputs to keyboard keys. It's just a pain in the butt knowing which button is button 6, 8, 3, or whatever, without opening up the controller properties.

I'm trying to move away from Steam, so I may grab this for PS4. I'd have REALLY preferred a physical release, though.

The Sonic CD remake was widescreen, and very well done.

Feel stupid overlooking it having booted my 360 to test some of the SVC titles before posting. Feels especially wrong forgetting about it in this thread being a Christian Whitehead release. Looks as if his iOS Sonic releases are widescreen as well.

Why in the world is Sega delaying the PC game when it's already out there? This last stretch of waiting was hard enough. :/

I just realized this will be a classic 2D Sonic game played in wide screen for me. This should be interesting as I always thought the classic series with it's speed would benefit from the extra reaction time of what's ahead.

But this reminds me, any of the classic games when ported to XBLA & PSN get converted to wide screen?

Sonic CD is widescreen on XBLA, PSN & Steam.

Sonic 1 & 2 are widescreen on any iOS or Android device that is widescreen.
