I went ahead and pre-ordered this yesterday on Steam. The reviews look promising and I did play all Sonic's on Genesis, including CD so why the hell not?

I wonder if anybody had ever attempted backporting the later Cinepak versions to Sonic CD? That'd give nearly fullscreen with more colors (since I recall it gained support for multiple palettes later on).

Yeah the delay on the PC version sucks, but I did get notification from Amazon that my PC collector's edition of the game has shipped and I should be getting it by the end of the week. So I will at least have that in hand. The code just won't work until the 29th.

Thankfully there aren't any spoilers, but what a terrible review. Lamenting a game for including a bit of challenge is ridiculous, and I was glad to see people calling him out on it. Feels weird seeing someone criticize Sonic for precision platforming, something which has hardly been in the series since Scrap Brain, and even that's not really precision platforming anywhere near the likes of Mega Man or Super Meat Boy.

Wow, what a terrible review. He complains that when you lose all your lives, you have to continue from the beginning of the level, for "no reason at all". What?

V2 Improved the palettes and added more frames. I could have the whole sequence in a ROM but the lz compression is too slow for the 68k to handle with video.
