I wouldnt use Super Glue. There is no coming back from that.

Ha ah, same differences. They are supposed to be permanent.
No, I mean if you make mistakes and smudge up where you don't want to. But I do hear also that it will eventually eat through the paper in a few years time.
I use a sewing pins to apply without pulling up the labels much. The adhesive on the back of the paper should keep them apart. But I may do nothing just leave them as is, just press down when I go to play them.
Fantastic for the confirmation on SeaQuest DSV! I had suspected (and hoped) there wasn't a reg card, but now I know for sure - thanks for opening it, QuickSciFi. I'll get it added to the spreadsheet this evening.
Super Glue for labels is a super super bad idea. You'll end up with some discolored bleed through the sticker and often enough some super glues leave a white haze on a surface.
I've found going back years now and anyone I've done it to still holds true still that what works best is the kids Elmer's Glue Sticks, the ones that go on wet purple and dry clear. Use a razor and scrape a bit off to get to the sticker as close to where it's still attached and then push outward to the edge. Hold that for a minute or two with the pressure/heat of your thumb and it will stay true while not jacking up the label or discoloring anything.
You're doing a good service here opening up these games which are meant to be used. Also after seeing the hidden flood damage, it really helps make that case people throw out there for years now of the dead mint opened is/should have more value than a sealed game argument for many people. In one hand that sealed one can have that water/moisture damage from a total immersion to a pin prick drip, or you could have a battery that explodes eating a game to death in there, or some other issue causing rust to metals (staples to the board) or toxic mold spores. An opened one can be retained in an unsealed but new state and verified not to have been roached.
I have been working with Super Glue (cyanoacrylate) for many years from household repairs and woodworking to hobbies such as R/C and modeling but yes if one does not have the experience listen to QuickSciFi and Tanooki.

Opened up two titles from Virgin Games.
Jungle Book
A bit of water damage to the contents
Notice the font for this Virgin reg card has a font that is a little smaller than Virgin reg cards from earlier releases.
Caesar's Palace

NBA Action '94
Greendog The Beached Surfer Dude
Greendog was definitely the most interesting among the games I opened. It was my first time ever seeing that particular Sega Visions insert, so I made sure to take ample pictures of it.

Hard Drivin had a cardboard case? I remember mine having the classic shell. And why would there be a Williams warranty inside?
Several TENGEN games had cardboard releases in addition to the original clamshell releases. If you view my spreadsheet here, you'll notice that I've tried to indicate the number of releases for each game, to track when games were rereleased.

As far as the Williams warranty card, it must have been part of TENGEN's arrangement to have their games re-released in cardboard format. The cardboard release of Paperboy also features a Williams warranty card. The cardboard release of Paperboy 2 features a Midway warranty card.
