Sega 3D Fukkoku Archives 3: Final Stage announced (3DS) Will include a secret title

The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals Sega 3D Fukkoku Archives 3: Final Stage, Sega’s third and presumably final 3D classics collection for 3DS, due out in Japan on December 22.

Confirmed titles in the collection include: After Burner II, Super Hang-On, Bare Kunckle II, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Gunstar Heroes. It will also include the number one most requested title from a survey included with the previous game.
Famitsu lists Wing War, Gain Ground, OutRunners, and Virtua Racing as holding positions five through two, but didn’t share the top requested title.

I haven't been interested in the last one(not a bad selection of games or anything, but when you know what else they've done...). This is the one, if they localize it, that I would pick up. Sonic 2, Gunstar Heroes, and, best of all, Streets of rage 2? Hell yeah! The only way it could get better is if they add Shinobi III.

I'd love Outrunners, but given that it's a System 32 game, I'm not sure it could be ported to 3DS, unless it was exclusive to New 3DS. I don't think M2 would do that.

It would be nice if they included Shinobi III, but I doubt it since Sega already included it in Sega 3D Fukkoku Archives 1.

It probably would be a problem if they tried emulating this game to 3DS like what Nintendo does with their virtual console, but since their porting the game I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be an issue unless Sega no longer has the source code.

D'oh. I guess I should look into what the original has already. Still, I think this will be the one to beat(unless they can make a grand edition, with everything, later), so I'm hopeful for a localization.

Good choices. Columns may be my favorite block/piece dropping puzzle game. I would assume Alien Sydrome is the arcade version.

Overall, that's a good balance of variety for this collection.

arcade Alien Syndrome is kinda cool, Columns aint bad either. not my top choices but happy with both!

Yeah, arcade Shadow Dancer, ESWAT or Golden Axe should've been considered. It's another cool compilation of SEGA games from M2 though. I really hope this gets a domestic release.

I do wish they could have thrown us a bone by going ahead and throwing the rest of the 3D SMS games on there. Or at least release put those from the first Japanese collection onto a Western e-shop.
