. Playing old consoles on modern TV they look pretty crap . Frame allows you to scale the image (instea of using the TV to do it with rubbish results) and also allows you to have scanlines for the CRT look that retro users love . Its even great for consoels like the 360 too . Where you can upscale Cave shooters and the like to 720p
Panzer Dragoon Zwei is
one of the best 3D shooting games available
Presented for your pleasure
I only use my framemeister to capture classic console footage at 60fps in HD.
I actually play games on a 32" crt.

Interestingly, I have been trying out a SNES emulator on the PS3; it works a treat (runs StarFox 2 really
well). Also, it scales the graphics to 1080p with nice scanlines.
What would peoples thoughts on the OSSC be?
My thoughts are that it's very nice. I use it for my PS1 and Saturn as they switch res a lot. It even likes the split screen in Sonic 2.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. There is a difference between PAL scart and JP21 (scart). I've seen people warn Saturn owners against using the PAL scart with the XRGB, because it blew out the video on the console.

Yeah, here's the cable that must be purchased for your Framemeister to work with the EuroScart.

Why was it decided back in the 70s or 80s that we can't have RGB in NA? That's the one thing that gamers in PAL regions can point and laugh at us over. I can live without it, but man some screenshots I see look great.

I don't really play old Genesis games because of their insanely good graphics or music, more because they are incredible games. They look a bit ropey on my modern TV of course but thats just what it is. Still can't stand fake scaliness on emulators because LCDs don't have scanlines.
I read that USA never got RGB as it allowed near lossless copying. It didn't seem to be an issue over here though. EU didn't mandate SCART, only French did, and it doesn't really add any cost, in fact if composhit was dropped you'd save lot of cost due to not needing a whole bunch of components.
