    Default Stuck in Star Cruiser

I'm really enjoying playing this now that it has been fully translated. It hasn't been hard to figure out what to do until I got to this part -

Daigo asked me to go to the asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars and collect some hydrogen thingies. I was given a tractor beam at this point. The problem is, when I go to that area, there's blue and white asteroids but using the tractor beam only blows them up.

Anyone know how to get past this?

*edit - I got the answer over at HG101. I just needed to destroy more of them. It doesn't let you know until you go back to Daigo after having done that.

WHAT?! Is it really translated now? My god, I've been waiting for this since I've stumbled upon the game like 20 years ago.
Anyone picked this up for the physical release yet?

Well I started playing this for real last night but I guess I'm late already.

You can check how much of the stuff you have in STUFF → INFO (I also hit some black asteroid by accident and got another item, neato). And yeah that there's nothing to collect is unintuitive but probably for the better I guess, shooting them is already hard enough (especially when an enemy decides to get in the way). Forced me to learn how to fly with instruments x_x (looking at the radar rather than out of the cockpit - note that this is pretty common to do with planes in real life).

By the way: does anybody know what the stuff at the right of the HUD means? I think T is temperature since it rises in hot areas (so huh, don't let it go too high), but what does P mean?

    As a matter of fact:

Give money to Krikzz for making these wonderful products rather than retro sellers for aping someone else's 20 year old content.

No, it's unbiased analysis. The only fanboyism is people who claim that Hyperstone Heist and Bloodlines are actually as good as their SNES counterparts.

I always looked at the radar when I flew.

P might be air pressure or something like that. I think there is some scenario in the game where it has some significance, but other than that it served no big purpose really.

That was my guess too though no idea in which way it affects things. I was in a satellite where pressure(?) was going down while temperature was going up... anyway it didn't matter much (you're advised to not stay around for too long either way).

As for the radar, yeah I noticed that the size of the dots indicate the distance in the Z axis (larger = higher Z). So when your target is above aim your ship upwards (look at the tilt meter) until the dot is about the normal size then tilt back to forwards (remember you can slow down if needed). Similar deal when your target is below. Much easier than trying to nagivate around at completely arbitrary angles, though it means you'll be pretty much navigating through instruments.

Having read the Flight Simulator II manual was useful for something, I remembered that instrument-only flights are a thing =P

P is pressure, yeah. Actually, this plays a much greater role in Star Cruiser 2 (which is a PC-98/FM Towns only game). In the first one - not so much. Thankfully the SMD SC isn't as cruel as the computer versions, which are filled to the brim with invisible walls and grinding. The second game can be controlled with a mouse, which makes things a ton easier in my opinion.
