Default Digital Pictures is Back?! Well, sort of...

It has recently been brought to my attention that a Hollywood effects studio called Flash Film Works apparently got the rights to Digital Pictures old catalog (or at least some of it), & is in the works of putting them out on mobile devices (specifically iPhone & Android). At first I thought this was some unofficial product, since its a mobile store (you can't tell all the time), but FFW is a legit company with chops & has already put out Double Switch & Quarterback Attack, with plans to also release Corpse Killer, Slam City, Supreme Warrior, & even the unreleased Maximum Surge. Sorry, no Night Trap or Sewer Shark here.

Quite honestly, this just blows my mind. I thought it was bizarre enough when that ill-conceived Night Trap Kickstarter was attempted, but to actually see that Digital Pictures games are getting new releases leaves me speechless here. Did anyone else even know about what Flash Film Works is doing?

It'd be neat if they were willing to press new CDs for SEGA CD release. CDs are a dime a dozen, afterall. Literally!

Not a huge fan of FMV games but I'm glad to see them releasing a cancelled game. I wonder if it's gonna be any good.

This is awesome, I wonder what they will port these games to?

Interesting. Now they need to release them on Steam, GoG, and the consoles. I'd love to see these on a bigger screen with nicer video quality than the original releases. It's a shame that Night Trap will likely not get a re-release, and neither will my favourite, Ground Zero Texas, thanks to it being likely owned by Sony.

Ground Zero Texas is probably my favorite Digital Pictures game as well, followed by Sewer Shark. Shame they couldn't get the whole catalog but it'll be need to see what does appear. I would love to see all of Corpse Killer edited into a B-movie or something.

As far as FMV games go, Double Switch and Quarterback Attack are two of my favorites. I also like Sewer Shark, Tomcat Alley, and Wirehead. It would be interesting to see Supreme Warrior again if somebody could fix the controls.
