    This is AWE SOME!!!
You've been repped my good sir. I'm going to binge watch this repeatedly and prob download it for posterity's sake. I really wish they'd someday release some kind of multi-region BluRay of all the episodes, but this looks awesome enough

I remembered this show from when I was a kid, and tried to track it down about 10 years ago to no avail. I couldn't remember the name. After a while I gave up and moved on, all but forgetting about it, and now here you come with this thread. Fantastic! Thanks, cleeg!

That is some awesome devotion, I wonder how long it took him to do all the episodes.

I've really gotten back into this show since you posted this. I'm about 10 in now. But I couldn't believe it when Yumi and her brother didn't stay with their own people and travel back to their home planet in episode 6 or 7 (the one with the witch). Are you kidding me? They could have gone home, but instead he gets back on the Odyssey and goes back into stasis while his little sister Yumi will be thrown back into danger again while he is helpless to protect her. That chapped my rear as it made no sense to me. If they didn't want them to go home and to stay a part of the show, they shouldn't even have made that episode.

I just watched a YouTube video showcasing 80s cartoos and came upon Wheeled Warrios. So many similarities to Ulysses 31. I just have to post it here

Yeah I noticed fairly recently that the styles of the two were incredibly similar.

Strangely enough there doesn't seem to be much else that connects the two behind the scenes.
Both have really solid theme songs though.

This doesn't happen to be published by Avex by any chance, does it? They're one of the largest independent media companies in the world despite dealing exclusively in Asia, and they are banning imports of their products to outside of the country. Such a shame. CDJapan, Amazon, YesAsia, etc. will no longer offer their products to foreigners.

I don't think so. Ulysses 31 was a French-Japanese series. It was internationally reknown.

But it sucks about that company. Looks like they made that decision like 4 days ago.

The French author s the same : Jean Chalopin. He's also the author of The Mysterious Cities of Gold, which in France surpasses both in popularity. And which I'm actually watching with my 6 years old kid. And it aged reaaaaally well

I love Mysterious Cities of Gold. The theme still puts chills up my spine when I hear it.

I love that mysterious, almost eerie, feel to those 80s and 90s cartoons. They had a more serious tone with deeper stories and characters.

I'm not sure if I ever watched it, but I had some of the toys. I remember the plant based weapons, but I'm pretty sure I also had some of Jayce's vehicles too.

Pretty sure I never saw Ulysses 31 though...

We had this show also in Germany. Does anybody know how he does the remastering? What kind of source material is he using?
