An oddball question here...

Is there going to be some kind of package tracking used? It seems logical, since it would save a lot of "I never got my game"/"We sent you your game" back and forthing.

Well that's bullshit. If this was the case I would've held off on ordering the Japanese version (since the US was sold out) and waited for the next batch. Sore thumb here you come!

"The next batch" might be very few copies, which cannot be pre-ordered, and since they are the back-up copies, they don't have any back-ups themselves, obviously. First come, first serve always gives some sore thumbs for those last in line, I'm afraid.

I understand the effort it takes to produce something like this...but after all the hard work put into this project, and the fact that pre-orders are already all full, does that not indicate the fact that this game may actually be popular enough to sell more copies past the current slated production run?

It seems like a big damn waste to NOT make a second or third run for something that took so goddamned long, and especially, something that is this unique.

If there is a second run, it will sure as hell not be as exclusive and over the top awesome as this one, maybe just a downloadable from XBLA like we stated before.

This game would not pass the Microsoft TCR, not in a million years. You'd have to completely re-do everything to even stand a chance. The 360 will be as dead as the Megadrive by the time you're done.

To be honest, it'd probably be for the best - I'm sure they'd find it much easier to attract competent and reliable artists/composers/translators to work on a project that doesn't force them to negotiate archaic hardware, which would ultimately result in a better game.

Then again, XBLA/WiiWare/etc development is only cheap relative to the costs of a big retail title - it'll still require a substantial amount of money and a whole bunch of amenities that the PS team doesn't have. Maybe they can announce pre-orders now and get enough seed money for a 2015 release or something.

I'm glad you told me this, username, since it never was me in the team who wanted a DLC port. I actually want Pier Solar to remain a Mega Drive exclusive. You made my day and boosted my confidence and working creativity. Thank you!
