It was WM's choice not to make any money off this (they could have easily done so). It's also the buyer's choice whether or not to purchase the ones christuserloser is selling. No one here is under any moral obligation to anyone else to provide them with the stuff they want for whatever price they think they should get it at.

I don't think this is a non-profit fan project, but I've heard that there's little profit being made with the first print. There might be later print runs, and there might be XBLA, PSN, and Wii versions. Personally I hope for a Dreamcast port too.

The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.

When PS preorders started I asked Fonzie whether he could offer a rebate so I could sell for WM's official price. Quoting our PMs from 10/2008 (I hope Fonzie don't mind):

And ebay wants €4,50 for each copy sold, and PayPal another €1,40.

Yeah, I mean if the plan to release it for XBLA, why not port it to Dreamcast too ? It's a Sega console. Sega's last console. And the tools are free so there are no costs other than pressing the CDs (and printing the inserts).

Dreamcast doesn't have the same market as the RRoD.

Having read the last few pages of this thread, I gotta say...
Guys, your can preach until your balls fall off, but it doesn't change one simple fact... Christuserloeser has paid for, in full, every copy he preordered. They are in essence, his property to do with as he sees fit, short of illegally making ROMs and handing them out (or copyright infringements in general).
I can promise you, others will put their copies on ebay. Whether it's because of not liking the game, beating it and not wanting it any more, or just trying to get a few bucks, there will be copies put on ebay by others who bought it. Should they give any profits over $35 to WM as well? No, they shouldn't. Once something is fully paid for, it belongs to the one who paid for it... be it a preorder, a physical copy, or whatever. What they do with it from that point, is their perfectly legal choice (again, as long as they violate no copyright laws).
Morally wrong is raping a little kid. Morally wrong is beating the hell out of someone who can't defend themselves. What isn't morally wrong, is selling what you've paid for to someone else. So let's stop trying to make Christuserloeser out to be some horribly evil man who eats babies and rapes kittens, and give the guilt trip attempts a rest. You won't change his mind, and you're not doing anything beyond derailing the thread.

Just expressing my oppinion
It may be because of my poor english but I don't understand what you mean. RRoD?
Besides, I'd LOVE to see a Dreamcast port. Just put the same rom as the MD version but with all languages and audio tracks, and I'd get two :P
(I'm Synapse at the Pier Solar boards, by the way)
