Hey have any of you guys got any advice on dealing with viral gastroenteritis? I have really bad stomach cramps and have been crapping blood for three days now. I've been taking vitamin supplements and drinking plenty of water but I'm still never off the damn toilet! I'm feeling really weak. Oh I didn't think anybody would mind me asking this here either, as this thread has not only derailed but has rolled down the embankment and is currently laying at the bottom of a ravine in a strewn heap of flaming carnage, bodies and debris.
^ Regardless if serious post or not, wanted to post this for awhile now knowing others here have stomach issues.
Make your own homemade lemonade;
- get an easy to clean lemon squeezer
- add cold or room temperature brita filtered water (I prefer cold but it's a bit of a shock on system first thing in the morning I hear. And I only drink brita water because it tastes so much better - straight tap water tastes terrible, so do many brand water bottles)
- find a real local honey source as 80% or so of honey is fake (I get mine from a local health store that has this massive dispenser filled with honey from my area).
I have one every morning, in fact have one set up next to me right now, and another one later in the day. This greatly helped with my stomach issues and my shits are now smooth one piece logs. How I discovered this was pure accident, as the fridge was full of lemons once, so since I avoid processed juice the thought "When life hands you lemons..." came to me. And that was when I noticed these improvements.
Just try to drink it with a straw and maybe brush teeth right after, as lemonade is bad for tooth enamel. Anything with honey is also a perfect & healthy sweet tooth remedy.
"Causes of blood in the stool range from harmless, annoying conditions of the gastrointestinal tract such as hemorrhoids and anal tears (anal fissures) from straining against hard stools with constipation to serious conditions such as cancer. Sometimes anal cancer causes no symptoms at all. But bleeding is often the first sign of the disease. ... At first, most people assume the bleeding is caused by hemorrhoids (painful, swollen veins in the anus and rectum that may bleed). They are a benign and fairly common cause of rectal bleeding.
Most polyps are asymptomatic. Rectal bleeding, usually occult and rarely massive, is the most frequent complaint. Cramps, abdominal pain, or obstruction may occur with a large lesion. Rectal polyps may be palpable by digital examination. Occasionally, a polyp on a long pedicle may prolapse through the anus. Large villous adenomas may rarely cause watery diarrhea that may result in hypokalemia."
Also change your diet. Are you a meat eater? Then get more fiber in your diet, dark red or black beans pound for pound give you more protein and fiber than even steak https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HE_FpSSK94k, but try eating a bowl of red beans, avocados, broccoli, mushrooms and quinoa seeds that is a complete protein, fiber and vitamin meal. Fiber helps ease you pooping and is softer with more of solid poop with 1 piece rather than a mass of fatty, bloody, 100 little pieces poop and leaving your toilet bowl looking like a kool-aid fruit punch bowl.
Finally =) I just have more fun and variety of great games on my Saturn than SNES. I think people like Saturn more than N64. Honestly the N64 is one of the worst consoles basically besides a few games. I like Mario64.

Like I mentioned in a thread before, maybe N64 was bigger in the UK maybe (?), in a article they had N64 listed maybe ahead or behind Genesis at #2 of all time consoles in the UK. Even on youtube and etc USA gamers love the N64. Ok, it had Goldeneye and Mario64 and some vamped up 16 bit games turned into 3d like Zelda or DKC but like seriously N64 is only better than VirtuaBoy. Even on this list it is high. Saturn at 18 (behind 7800) but N64 at 9. http://www.ign.com/lists/top-25-consoles/9

In a little over 10 days and 23 pages we've gone from from Saturn vs SNES to God to how to have the perfect Shit. WOW!![]()
BTW I think with the amount of diarrhea that Theif writes he would be the expert in how to solve an issue with severe diarrhea. LOL.
Note to Mega Drive Bowsley - Seriously Hope you feel better soon. Had severe food poisoning a few years ago and between throwing up and the diarrhea I could not get off the bog for what felt like days ..horrible feeling.

Hey thanks for the tips guys. Really am not feeling good at all. Oh sorry for the graphic description of my symptoms btw, didn't mean to put any of you off your dinners or anything.
I had it for years getting slowly worse and worse and was too embarrassed to go to doctor (isn't fun going through life with it is it) until I passed out from losing blood with blood chunks in the toilet (dark red near black), on floor in puddles and on my clothes when I laid on floor on my side. My wife got me up after I passed out and took me to Emergency. Days later I got a Colonography (why does this forum say correct spelling is incorrect ?) and days later got emergency surgery. It was just from internal polyps and hemorrhoids that bleed, not cancer, thankfully. It was a 4 hour surgery. If you lose too much blood you can get weak or even die. Get checked out, bleeding out your butt (especially a lot and with stomach pain for a week) for any reason is not normal. You will also need to change your diet to get more fiber.
Also, Influenza this year has killed a record high of people, it somehow morphes giving you phenomena and ruins your systems (your digestive track too). https://www.mysanantonio.com/lifesty...a-12477398.php So either you got that, or just diarrhea from a light FLU unless it has been a long time in which you need to get checked out ASAP.
Also I see drunkenhigh lurking thread, I got your TFTM1986 VCD cd-r burned copy and tested it on my PC - PM your address if you really want it as you asked pages ago.
Anyway, do you like the Saturn or its library more than SNES or its library?

Don't try to self-diagnose yourself by googling remedies etc. If your suffering from viral gastroenteritis and 3+ days has elapsed, you must be severely dehydrated. It's not worth the risk. Head over to the doctor/hospital emergency and get treated.
I usually give myself 3 day to get over the bug. And if the condition doesn't improve, off to the doctor I go.
