Grab the bull by the horns and just suck that titty and don't be a dick about it. (sidenote game looks super washed out on Xbox)

Quite amazing to have Red Dead Redemption 2 native 4k on a console
Shadow of TR looks stunning too and doesn't quite seem to get enough credit for its gfx and art direction

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a very good reason to own an Xbox One X. That is a killer app for the console.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. How? It's on PS4 as well. Can't be a good sign if just a better-looking version of a multiplatform game is your killer app on a console. Meh, whatever. Anyway, some shooters/shmups and old screens from games captured on PS4. Some Ghost Blade, Astebreed (fucking love this game) and Caldrious Blaze. I have a folder full of stuff and just dumping some of it off one post at a time.

It's a game that will showcase the benefits of owning the Xbox One X, since a superior PC version doesn't exist. Yeah, I'll play it on my PS4 @ 1080p, and be happy with it, but for a 4K display user that might have been looking for a reason to jump to the Xbox One X, RDR2 might be the game to make it a considerable option.

Still just 1 game. Very few multiplat games are not on PC. Most console gamers have a PS4 anyway and a PC for everything else. Already crazy to buy a console for 1 exclusive but for one game already on another system most likely already own. Seems weird. Whatever I don't fit in with modern gamers obsession with resolutions. The library and how the controller feels in my hands matters more to me. A nicer resolution is nice in a game but not worth spending $560 bucks nice. XBX still not getting a shit ton of Japanese games PS4 and sometimes PC and sometimes Switch get so meh whatever. Maybe I need to see 4k but I was never that wowed with HD...just yeah it looks nice but ok what games can I play I care more about. Resolution matters to some degree yes but it's not a deciding factor to me. Played low-resolution Saturn games on my HD TV because I didn't want to sit in the other room and as blurry as they looked. Didn't care. Had fun. Just seems some people focus more on specs and numbers than fun or let those specs determine if they can have fun. Meh.
Yeah, I'm not going to run out and buy an Xbox One X, because my living room display is a 1080p display, and I game on my main gaming PC with a 1440p/144Hz G-Sync monitor. But, I can see this high profile title as a reason for a console gamer to consider purchasing the console for their 4K display. It's a plus for the console, but not necessarily something that will drive millions of gamers to flock to it.

I wanted to let him die so bad and only saved him at the last second. Unsure if that would have led to a game over, and I kinda regret not finding out for myself (trying to be semi-honorable though...). So glad I picked up RDR2 for my X1X. Didn't want to because of backlog, but damn it's just gorgeous. Every view looks completely unique, and that weather system! Nice pictures, by the way. I'd take some myself, but I figure once I go down that path, I'd run out of HDD space.![]()
Similar to Shenmue of the same era this kinda stuff blew my mind. Opening drawers, cabinets, flipping light switching and turning electronics on and off. In the time when I was blown away by realism (not anymore these days), I just loved even exploring the house. May not seem like much now but Ultima IX, Shenmue and Rent a Hero No 1 (DC) were just something else for me. Funny enough as games have become better looking and more advanced and aiming for that realism..they actually have gotten away from realism. what I mean is...button prompts. See in Shenmue and Ultima IX I can do all this stuff but I don't need to be in the right position to wait for the X button to pop up like every single modern game. Hell Mario 64 didn't give me button prompts to open doors. It's less immersive to have a prompt. So opening the fridge, turning on lights and whatever else with no prompt felt like I was actually doing these little things in a world that felt real at the time. Turning the computer on in Ultima IX makes the very real sounds of the era booting up a big tower PC. Pressing buttons on the microwave makes annoying beeps. Tub fills up with water when your turn on the valves. It's a shame games don't aim for that immersion anymore.
