Sorry guys. I'm just a little cranky today. I couldn't sleep last night. My son and his boyfriend were boning all night in the room next to mine and their headboard was banging against the wall.

Also if you guys thought I was offensive about calling Trump's propaganda as stupid, well, that's definitely true lol. No ambiguity on that one.

Remember, Hillary is an old lady who just walks around randomly murdering people. Raping little kids who are sex slaves. In the basement of a pizzaria. (That propaganda led to that one guy bursting in with a gun and firing shots into the ceiling. He demanded to free the children from the basement. Oops, the restaurant didn't even have a basement.)

Trump said she would take all our guns away, which is an old tired tactic of fear-mongering (and it's especially ridiculous when we recall that neither her husband or Obama did anything like that).

Trump literally invited the Russians to hack into her servers, on live TV, during his campaign. (Last week it became public that the Russians did, in fact, start their hacking within a few hours of Trump's request on live TV.)

Trump said he would lock her up on day 1 of his presidency. It has now been 2 YEARS of his non-presidency. He had crowds changing "lock her up!" and then he never even pretended to try to do that.

He has called immigrants animals and specifically said that they are not humans, they're animals. Plus they're rapists and murderers, of course. This rhetoric has led to a 95 yr old Mexican man being savagely beaten with a brick, as if they were trying to kill him.

There's video of an old white woman yelling at a Hispanic landscaper to go home (he is a US citizen), and she informed him that Mexicans are rapists and murderers. She said she knows that because Trump said it. There's another recent vid of a fat white lady on a bus yelling and swearing at the Hispanic people on the bus. Thankfully in that case, the driver called the cops and had her arrested lol.

Trump's rhetoric has been making our country go crazy for at least 3 years now (since he started running), and it is fueling such incidents.

"Build a wall" was also retarded because it would cost unimaginable billions of dollars, and it would not be doing any good, since even a legit wall would still be able to be overcome with ladders and things like that. Unless we just had millions of Americans standing guard along ever few feet of the wall lol. It will simply never be built. It's like a small child's daydream. Saying Mexico would pay for it was also retarded -- sure, we're going to force a sovereign 3rd world country to spend billions of dollars on a wall that's basically a toddler's daydream.

I feel I've barely scratched the surface lol. So while I am not being mean toward anyone, the fact is that Trump's campaign rhetoric has always been unbelievably stupid and infantile. I also know that his voters / supporters don't agree with every single thing he says, so I'm not blaming his supporters for all his remarks. But it's just a fact that his campaign rhetoric has always been hateful and stupid, and we're seeing the real-life effects of everyone going crazy the last 3 years.

Maybe this thread just needs to focus its gloominess on such a topic because then it's at least discussing relevant current affairs.

Ok you got me to literally laugh out loud at this.

Maybe you can help your son move his bed away from the wall so they can bone more quietly lol.

That timeline is seriously askew. The reference Trump made was to the "missing" 30,000 emails that Clinton had originally stored on a private server (possibly more) which she used to route emails while Secretary of State (quite likely illegally - but the fix was in on that from the get go). The speculation was already long floating about (and did not originate with Trump) that the security on that system was so lax that any number of foreign governments could have hacked in without leaving a trace. Russia was
on top of the list of suspect governments.

Any subsequent hacking of Clinton's then server (in regards to Trump's statement about finding the missing/lost/destroyed (the narrative seems to have varied along the way) emails would have been meaningless as a causal (or even a casual) link since those 30000 emails would not have been on that server. (They did (apparently) mysteriously reappear on Anthony Weiner's laptop - curiouser and curiouser as Alice said......)

I think, arguably, Trump could already be worthy of consideration for the top 5 worst presidents in history. Almost everything he says can be easily disproven with the most cursory of Google searches. He is a proven patholigical liar who's only business success has been money laundering and licensing his last name. I don't believe in any God, and hate pretty much all religions.

    That being said.

I firmly believe that Ted Cruz is the anti-christ and am thankful he never made the final cut.

I for one am still trying to decide who gets the number one and two spots for worst presidents - either #1 is GW Bush and #2 is Obama. Or #1 is Obama and #2 is GW Bush. I guess it doesn't matter which is where as the American populace (as usual) was the clear loser in either scenario. (For a perspective I consider that the two Roosevelts were the only great presidents we have had since 1900.)

I'm guessing you just haven't heard it on the news yet. But it did make big news through the world recently. The official news story is that Russia hacked into some servers WITHIN A FEW HOURS of Trump SAYING IT ON LIVE TV.

The narrative isn't from me. It's from literally the entire world's news groups.

I expect it's only one of the first drops of news coming out finally from the never-ending Russia investigations.

Also, the "missing" emails did reappear? What's in them? Elderly lesbian pornography, I'm guessing?

This is interesting and I hope you do realize that you're conflating two presidents who were almost mirror opposites of each other (Bush and Obama).

The country and the world also felt very differently about both of them lol.

Please - I can read as well as most people here - maybe even better.

""Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing," Trump said on July 27, 2016, the same day the indictment says hackers targeted a domain used by Clinton's personal office."

That is a clear reference to the 30,000 "missing" emails from Clinton's tenure as secretary of state. Those would not have been on any server Clinton was using in 2016. So any correlation is purely coincidental to the point of not even being casual (let alone causal).

Trump said find - not obtain - the emails.

    Consider this:

Mr. Armitage (to Mrs. Armitage) - can you find your car keys?

    or

Mr. Armitage (to Mrs. Armitage) - can you go get another set of car keys made?

    Hopefully the nuances are clear.

Now who is not keeping up with the news (old in this case):

    https://www.cnn.com/2017/12/29/polit...ase/index.html

Unknown at this point how many were found - the FBI is dragging their heels on this one (no surprise) - New York City Police 1 impounded the laptop in the course of a separate investigation I am guessing that NYPD did make more than copy - which should (hopefully) keep the FBI somewhat honest down the road.

The thing I love most about political discussions is that they are a far better metric for judging someone's character than even a face-to-face interview. I am suspect of anyone who clamors for war with Russia, because it's always the best men who are sent to their deaths, never the warmongers. Well, less so now. We lost most of the best people in World War II, which in turn, led to the idiocracy that is western society today.
    - Where it's always 1995 (or so).

You are falling into a trap of faulty thinking fostered by the arbitrary imposition of a flawed two party system (which is not mandated anywhere in the constitution):

    A) Person A (let's say a republican) is no damn good - kicks his dog (or whatever allegations someone can manifest against them).
So person B (let's say a democrat) is therefore good.

    B) Person B (let's say a democrat) is no damn good - kicks his dog (or whatever allegations someone can manifest against them).
So person A (let's say a republican) is therefore good.

When in reality both A and B are quite likely no damn good - maybe one kicks his dog and one kicks his cat - the end result is just the same. One being bad (which in the end is quite subjective) doesn't mandate that the other is good.

Being opposites doesn't mean one is perforce good. (Hitler and Stalin were so far opposite on the political scale that they met in a loop behind the outhouse. We just tend to view Stalin a bit better since he was on "our side" (at least until VE day) - we still toadied up to him for a bit afterwards because we thought (mistakenly as it turned out) that we needed his help in the ETO.

History generally doesn't really weigh in on how effective a president was until long after they are out of office (and usually dead to boot).

Most people in this country and the world* thought differently about both of them (I disliked them both - but I have never been one to jump witlessly on bandwagons).

*In the case of the Islamic world, a lot of the viewpoint is going to be heavily weighted by the perception of how the two treated Israel.

My impression of such CGI recreation like u just posted, is that it’s essentially little more than animation. It doesn’t amount to proving anything. The fact of creating the animation does not automatically mean that all the physics were even part of the simulation, let alone proof of the physics working that way.
They were not overlaying anything. The CNN broadcast only saw the plane arriving from behind the North Tower and then the explosion coming out the backside of the building, while another broadcast had a clear view of the plane crashing into the side of the building and leaving a plane shaped hole that all the world could see, until the towers collapsed. The CGI thing is conspiracy nonsense, because there were not only television videos of the incident, there were many pictures and videos from the surrounding public viewers.

And the University simulation used fluid filled aluminum cans that they shot directly at real steel beams, under infrared Cameras. They were very meticulous in their approach to the simulation, and that is why it took them 2 years.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
