I always used C on a 3 button pad
B on a 6 button pad
I always used C on a 3 button pad
B on a 6 button pad
Initially, I used A because I noticed that, in debug mode, only A jumps. Outside of debug mode, I currently use B, just because of its more comfortable position. I am considering switching back to A for the aforementioned reason, though.
But C is also used to jump in debug mode o.O (in fact it's the only way to jump in Sonic 3 / & Knuckles, since A is used to flip gravity).
I always used ‘A’ simply because it’s the first button, both in terms of physical position and alpha-numerical denomination. Perhaps there’s some OCD influence in there somewhere.
That's about all I could figure, but I'll take your word for it. I probably haven't touched a 3-button in a good 15 years.
I'll generally do that even if it's a game where it's in my best interest not to do it. Both of the other buttons are actions I might want to use while jumping? Tough shit, gotta be C.
The hidden one on the back. Ha-ha
I guess the B but really can B any one of them that's close to the thumb when needed on the Mega Fire or original three buttons.
I've always used the C button to jump in Sonic games.
A, that's the closest button to relaxed state for my thumb. C is the least used one, most uncomfy position to put the thumb to.
