I hope they co-exist, mainly because a world with only on-demand streaming is a worse one than one that gives you a choice between the two.

Those who stream could be the radio listeners of yesterday. Those that buy media as downloads or physical media might be tomorrow's collectors.

I dunno man. Many theatres in my area have closed within the last decade. I almost never go myself. I have been to two films in 2 years. Both times the place was nearly empty and one of them was a summer holiday. I live where it should be the busiest. Many people I know just don't go anymore either. Ticket prices are nuts and they want 5 bucks for a 20-ounce soda. People have decent sound systems and big enough TVs now. I think more and more people prefer to stay at home. It's not like theaters will be gone tomorrow but possibly within the next decade, they will start to become the next Blockbuster and start slowly closing them down all over the US.

    Life?!...What console is that on?

It's not false advertising. 1.5Mega-Bytes is equal to 12 mega-bits of download speed. My 75Mb/75Mb connection is 9.37 Mega-Bytes of download speed, or 75 Mega-bits.

It's really not that complicated at all. Yeah, if your computer is a potato, you're going to be looking at required specs for all of the high end games. Nvidia card owners can open up GeForce experience and let the software adjust all of their games on their PC to the optimum settings if they like. Even my old living room PC with a 6 year old i5-2500K, 16GB of RAM and a 5 year old GTX 780 can run anything on PC @ 1080p.

I still play my PS4 with modern games, but most of the titles I got for it were either Sony exclusives (Darius Burst Chronicle Saviors, Uncharted, Horizon..etc), not very demanding (Pinball Arcade, PAC-MAN CE, etc) or at a really good price.

I'm pretty disappointed that I can't use my PS3 arcade stick with my PS4, without buying a dongle to fool the PS4 into thinking it has a PS4 arcade stick plugged into it. I can take the same arcade stick over to the PC, it will recognize it and update the drivers to use it.
That's not entirety true GeForce Experience optimization is only available for a handful of games.
Out of the many games I have only fourteen are supported one is Ace Combat Assault Horizon which is stupid because it shows no adjustments and another is two Minecrafts the Java version and Windows 10 Edition that I think as just one game.
Edit: In addition two games I have a dispute with and I won't use any of their settings. Like Quantum Break it wants me to run in 1600x900 (sorry no not doing that) the other is Arkham Knight texture filtering it goes from Trilinear straight to 16x Anisotropic. I don't get it? I run it with 8x Anisotropic.

I would like to move to a Solid State Drive despite the fact that I don't mind waiting the time it takes to load something currently from the SSHD but would like it to be a 1TB (for easy drive cloning) drive and they aren't cheap for who doesn't have much of a disposable income. Still looking to work that one out?

Note that I said High End games, right before talking about using GeForce experience.

I have about 25 games listed. I've only used it just to see what it would recommend. I really don't need to optimize anything at 1440p with a GTX 1080.

Do you have a MicroCenter in upstate NY?

I've seen an off brand 1TB SSD the other day for @$150.

    Okay ha-ha got ya.

There's four Micro Centers in NYC area but the closest location is The Mall at Cross County in Yonkers. A place I spent a lot of time doing electrical work at. Anyway, which is close but still not close enough.

But who needs a Micro Centers when there's the Egg and they have this Silicon Power Ace A55 I been eying.
Edit: But really the more I read the reviews for it the less I think I would go for it.

So I see you have a number of doubles within GFE?

I love both but I'm honestly a console peasant. I have a little fun on my gaming laptop from time to time but love the "toy" aspect of classic consoles - each having their own look and feel. I also love the convenience of dropping a cart in and it playing (that's been somewhat diminished by modern consoles).

My guess is with a game like Crysis 2, you get the DX10 and DX11 settings.

Huh, well that reminds me Quantum Break has two versions of which I have the Microsoft Store's DX12 version but GFE only shows one?
Maybe because the games (your doubles) were early in the GFE development?

I don’t know. Crysis 2 is from around early 2011, several years before GFE.

PC gaming has gotten considerably better over the years with the amount of emulators out there now that run games pretry much perfectly. Ill take the emulators, highly discounted games on Steam, and numerous USB ports over multiple consoles and higher cost. I bought my gaming PC in 2013. Still runs what I want to play fine. But I am not running top end stuff from this gen.

This post I agree with 100%. I love my PC for gaming but yeah sometimes being able to pop a cart or disc in and play from the get go is enjoyable to me
