Everytime I want to play a pc game, it will have issues. Nvidia drivers not updating correctly, controller not working or nit configurable, screen tearing, error launching, game crash, graphical glitches. While console are not as plug and play as they used to be, its still optimized for a single hardware cpu/gpu and works well most of the time.
Also the digital store sales for xbox and ps4 have gotten a lot better, same prices as steam and even better. Steam summer sales price since 2016 are not as good as before

Steam link when it goe son sale is like the size of an external HDD so if you want something smaller than a laptop. I have often hooked my PC via HDMI to my TV. Been a while since I have done that tho. My Monitor is using HDMI. Stopped using VGA some time ago and this new laptop doesn't even have VGA.

    Life?!...What console is that on?

The keyboard and mouse would be for doing other stuff, not for gaming. Always best to have a K+M on-hand in case something pops up on-screen (firewall, anti virus, an update from Windows, etc etc) and takes you away from the game or just want to surf the web, etc. Sorry should I have written that part better.

Btw steam link is crap, for it to work well both the pc and steam link need to be plugged directly with ethernet cables with your router, so this is stupid because if they are close to each other just plug a long hdmi cable to your tv! Wireless is laggy and picture quality is degraded. And dont get me started on the steam controller its f&@$” awful!!

That’s nonsense. All of your stuff is connected to the same router, including your wireless devices. And why are you going on about the Steam controller? I use 360 pads with my PCs.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

My 5th year into PC gaming and I'm liking it a lot so much so almost 2y ago I had to get my first video card. Ha-ha gamevet might remember how that went with bricking the last system and all trying to update the BIOS because needed UFEI support for the 1050 Ti but in the end really like this newer system much better.
I've had some problems along the way one notable would be Arkham Knight where it needed to be reinstall it plus all data needed to be found and deleted too (but the save file) because using the in game benchmark would corrupt it and this happen twice. Other smaller stuff like Bass Pro Shops: The Strike needed to be run in 640x480 than trying to figure out what resolution setting looks best on a 1080 monitor.
But for the most part it has gone well. However I do almost live to fix and tinker with things.

I will never use an Xbox gamepad but found the Logitech F710 be great also to SegataS it has a rumble on/off button on the face of it.

You can't turn it off in Binary Domain.

There are certain game genres that just play better on PC:

    Strategy
    4X
    City building
    Simulation
    MMORPG
    RTS
    FPS

    and probably more.

The reason is that for many games in those genres, you almost have to use a mouse/keyboard to play effectively. Of course, you can get by on a console, but it's a sacrifice. I know you can use a mouse/keyboard on modern consoles, but I've heard there are issues, and many games in the above genres are not available on console.

If you're only interested in action games and such (and don't mind aim-assist in FPSs), then stick with a console.

That maybe the case but the Logitech F710 has a physical button on the face of the gamepad just for turning on and off such function or better yet the wired version F310 doesn't even have motors in it.

Edit: Also would like to add they both have a switch on them for DirectInput and XInput that's handy.

I can't play games with a keyboard and mouse.

Edit2: Binary Domain is a very nice game I must say. I have it for PS3.

Yeah, I beat it on PS3 but would have been nice to play it with better performance. I hope for a remaster along with VanQuish this gen but not looking likely.

Did you play it using vice commands? That was a neat idea but most of the time I played without it.

Have this remaster VanQuish on Steam but still think Binary Domain is better though.

The reason VanQuish remastered happened is it was never on PC before and given that fact I doubt Sega would ever give Binary Domain remastered treatment.

Edit: At Gryson, I always sought in the options of every PlayStation FPS or any shooter at that mater how to turn off aim-assist and turned it off whenever possible.
