You may want to look into newer ones... especially Asian ones. Publishers are starting to take mobile as seriously as they do with consoles, which makes the mobile stigma even more hilarious (now, the gacha stigma... kill that with fire).

    Anyway, errrr...
"People Who Haven't Played Spider-Man Are Mad The Developers Took Out A Puddle"

I guess Sega is glad that people are screaming in panic about something important like the art style and not about bullshit like that.

haha. yes. the whining here without an basis for it is getting to ridiculous proportions. this is far worse than the whining in wind waker though.

I guess the fat slobs in the Bad Dudes 2 kickstarter weren't as bad as we thought.

Now if only a roach stomping mini-game is included we will be firing on all cylinders.

What would be interesting to see is a Time Attack mode, like the one found on Final Fight CD ( a good way to learn enemy patterns, improve your crowd control and fun to play when you're short on time ); fast paced, with a scoring multiplier regarding how fast you can kill enemies, while a set of remixed music from previous Streets of Rage games plays in the background.

Or maybe a short game in the same vein of RE2 '4th Survivor' mode: you play as Shiva and have to break out of prison by fighting your way against your cell mates and prison guards. Lots of enemies to deal with it and not a whole lot of time. A Survival/Time Attack mode. Like Splatterhouse part 3, you would also need to find the correct path as you go along.

In the end, you would have to fight...... Adam!

    Hummm...
Awesome suggestions! Stuff like that would be really great bonus content. Now all we need to do is beg, steal or borrow Yuzo Koshiro to do the music.

If they can't get Yuzo back I would not mind Jake Kaufman. His work on Double Dragon Neo is amazing.

    Life?!...What console is that on?

I'd second that. His soundtrack for Shantae:Half-Genie Hero was excellent and fit that game perfectly too.

Jake Kaufman is okay but leans too hard on the dubstep idiocy. The Shantae HGH score was much worse than Pirate's Curse. Some levels have a minute or so random drum intro until the song actually starts. It's horrible.

Also, Yuzo Koshiro said in a twitter that he can't talk about SOR4. Not that he doesn't have anything to say. He might well be back on the game, which is why he can't talk about it.

There was a cheap little mobile game in the early days known as Deathsmiles...

It was so good and beautiful, it got a 360 physical release... and thus us mere mortals were able to palpate it in all its full glory.

My guess is that this whole announcement is geared towards getting Koshiro on board, and they are negotiating fees and artistic boundaries as we speak, that's why he cannot talk ATM. If he was already on board, we would already know. If he was definitely out, he would have said so. That tweet gives hope.

I have a feeling that they are in negotiations. He probably wants more than their budget allows, which makes sense considering his name is practically synonymous with SOR.

But I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

This won't be a popular opinion, but I personally hope Yuzo isn't doing the music for this one. After the pure awesomeness of the SoR 1 music and the rather good tracks for SoR 2, I wasn't a fan of the music for SoR 3 at all. It had a decent track or two, but it wasn't close to the quality of the previous two games IMO. I'd rather see what someone new could do with some of the staple songs from the series, than see Yuzo take whatever direction he was going in with SoR 3 even further.

You really think he'd do that? I always figured the approach he took on SOR3 was more of an experiment than anything, although I have no idea what the hell he's done since then. My assumption is that for something like this, especially so long after the last entry to the series, he'd feel more pressure to stick to that classic sound, or even toss in some remakes.
