Default SO Coleco is releasing 2 new mini arcade games.

Found this on Robotech.com 60 dollars seems to be a bit steep especially since the game seems to be the same one from 2001 GBA. Not sure about the Rainbow Brite one.

Coleco is long dead. The company who owns only the name spends mpst of its time harassing the Coleco community.

The only decent part of these faux mini arcades is the shells. The nes and GBA emulators couldn't be more nostalgia killing.

Is that the same mold as those 1980s mini Arcades? James Rolfe (AVGN) has a had a bunch of originals on his shelf behind him for years tho never reviewed one.

    Life?!...What console is that on?

Are these games even arcade games?
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

I don't know about the Robotech (Macross) one, but the Rainbow bright game was NEVER an arcade game. The guy that programmed it is also currently the most active Atari 7800 homebrew programmer who goes by the name of PacManPlus at AtariAge. He took a hiatus from the 7800 about 2 years ago for a bit to work on NES stuff. We later found out it was the Rainbow Bright game you see here.

So at least the Rainbow Bright game was never an arcade game and these new minis are just inspired by the originals. Otherwise they can just have made pretty much any game they have the IP too (If any really) and stick them into these mini classic shells.

Seeing these always brings back nostalgic memories for me. I got a donkey Kong mini arcade game for Christmas in 1983. I wish I still had it.
