Saturn Genesis/Saturn Hybrid controller up for sale.

    https://castlemaniagames.com/shop?ol...urn-controller

I know an OP is meant more for the info and not an opinion for topics like this but WTF? Who is this for? Why would I need both combined when what is on Genesis/Saturn is perfect as is not to mention other 3rd parties making new ones of what we always had. So again huh? I'd love to be educated.

    Life?!...What console is that on?

    This is an interesting product!

I wonder if the product uses a passive adapter for running on both Mega Drive and Saturn. It would be interesting to use such a thing for using actual Saturn controllers on the Mega Drive, even if only homebrew would be able to do so.

It'd be good if the analogue stick worked for those few compatible MD titles.

Yup, for use with this beast of a thing:

Here's the game list from Sega Retro:

    Mega Drive:
    -After Burner II
-Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II
    -Fastest 1
    -Galaxy Force II
-Musha Aleste: Full Metal Fighter Ellinor

    Mega-CD:
    -After Burner III
    -Night Striker
    -Star Blade

    32X:
    -After Burner Complete
    -Space Harrier

There's also a thread about it here somewhere.

On the subject of the hybrid controller, it sounds cool on paper, but it kind of looks like crap. I would've expected the style to be somewhere between the two original controllers, not shaped like an Xbox controller or something.

I guess it's neat, if you don't already have the 3D stick, or other decent 1st party controllers.

Thanks for this info. I had no clue that this even existed or that there were Genesis games with analog controls.

I just mailed about that analogue functionality. I'll post the answer when it comes in.

It looks like a knock-off Wii U Pro controller.

It looks laughably hideous and I would never get caught playing with that plastic mess. The Sega Saturn 3D stick looks way better.

How do you select the analog mode on this thing without a switch like the original Saturn 3D pad?

I'm actually excited about this. Unlike a lot of the aftermarket retro stuff I've seen, this design looks like they're staying incredibly close to sega's original specs. Judging from the pictures at least, the plastic material and sizing looks remarkably close to an oem Sega product from back in the day. This is also more ergonomic than I usually see and will be beneficial for those of us with hand injuries. Very excellent work, I hope to see more projects like this.

And holy crap, I had no idea about that micomsoft controller. Amazing.
